He is the best professor Elmhurst has and I wish I had the opportunity to take more classes with him. Not only is he hilarious, he is absolutely brilliant and an outstanding lecturer. The homework and tests are decently challenging but he will always help if you just ask! I have nothing but good things to say about him.

He's an OG. Took him for Financial Institutions and Corporate Finance. He's one of my favorite professors. Knows what he is talking about and has a sense of humor. I recommend him to all business majors.

Comment:

Dr. Wan is the best professor I have ever had at Elmhurst. He is a genuine, kind person and truly cares about his students. He is also a funny person who has great stories to tell. This class had few homework assignments and the exams were largely group efforts. FYI, do not miss any classes because he gives hints on exam questions every lecture.

This excel class with Dr. Wan was definitely my favorite class of the semester! Dr. Wan goes through every little detail you need to know about excel and really cares about you learning the material. There were very few homework assignments and the final was a take home project. Awesome teacher and really great guy!

Don't miss class and you'll do fine. Dr. Wan values retention and understanding over grades. Exams are largely group efforts, though understanding the theory is up to you. I'm looking forward to more classes with Dr. Wan in the future.

Best professor in the business department. Really does a good job of breaking down topics that would otherwise seem really daunting. He's always available in his office to help with anything you didn't get the first time. Classes will go the full length though, even night classes.

Wan doesn't use a book. He made his own curriculum. He is the most brilliant person I have ever met but he'd be the last person to admit it. He somehow takes outrageously difficult concepts and meticulously breaks them down in a way that all learning styles can grasp onto and comprehend. Do your life a favor and take him if you have the opportunity

Dr. Wan is one of the toughest professors I have ever had, but he is also "the" most helpful, and amazing teacher I have ever had. You learn so much in his class (which are very long), but they go fast. He gets you excited and wants his students to learn. He is a brilliant professor, and an Excel guru!

Such an awesome professor! Very organized, encourages group work, always willing to help. Assignments are mandatory and you really have to be in class to get the material, but he makes it easy to succeed. BEST PROFESSOR EVER!!!

Corpo finance was a breeze thanks to Wan. he was even willing to stay late and aid in other classes. brilliant man and i repeat, take him for every class that you can

This guy should get a nobel price. This class only focuses in the theoretical aspect of portfolio theory and you will not really use it afterwards, but it's one of those things that you must understand anyway. The class is straight forward, interesting, and Wan is one of the best professors in this campus. He knows, he teaches, so LEARN from him.
