Comment:

Professor Kim is a nice lady who cares about people getting a good grade. As long as you study for her scheduled tests and quizzes, then you should be fine in the class. The lectures are pretty good as long as you take notes. Most of the time, she does not go over the material again, so you have to make sure to study it.

Comment:

Kim is amazing and actually very funny. Make sure you get on her good side because she gives extra points in class everyday! A lot of the time she will say that you "have to read" a certain chapter, but she never puts anything on the test that she doesn't cover in class, so you really don't have to. Also, she gives past tests for studying.

I really enjoyed my time in Prof Kim's class. She is a talented instructor and it is obvious from a lecture from that she has a passion for math and for teaching. Throughout the duration of the course, I always felt a warm aura from her that helped excite my interest in mathematics. I genuinely look forward to taking a class with her again.

I took her for my linear algebra class and I was not impressed. She is hard to understand, frequently yells at people out of no where, openly calls people out in class, and does not teach well. I learned nothing from her except Khan Academy can sometimes do a better job of teaching students than professors like this. 90% of your grade is tests :(

If you've never seen/used linear algebra before taking this course with Prof. Kim, "you're gonna have a bad time." UNLESS you work at it and attempt to understand it yourself. I've had some experience with the subject before taking the course but I can see why students criticize Prof Kim. She tends to gloss over topics to keep up with the syllabus.

One of the best teachers at UMD. She takes a wide range of complicated topics and makes it seems so easy. Looking forward to taking her for upper level classes. some kids give her crap bcuz they dont go to class. just go everyday and do the homework, and she is always willing to help if you go to her office hours.

Ms Kim has a ridiculous way of teaching. Sometimes I dont even think she knows whats going on... really. She looks very confused, and does a good job at confusing the entire class every day. Good luck if you have her!

I absolutely love Kim. She is so funny and she really loves what she does. Go to her classes, she takes attendence every class. ALso do her homework, big points there. She scales all of her exams but she will scold you if you do poorly, but in a good way. Take her, I would take any course that she teaches.

Ms. Kim is the best math teacher I have ever had. She is really sweet and helpful and truly wants everyone to pass her course. The material can be kind of difficult but if you do the homework and study, you will get an A. I LOVE MS KIM!!!

Prof. Kim is an excellent professor. In order to be successful in her class, you are supposed to study very well all the handouts that she will give almost every class. From these paperwork, you can easily guess the type of questions that you can expect in the exam.
