Dr. Hicks is not only knowledgable but a fantastic teacher. Though she knows far beyond what most doctors of her field do she's able to relate the material to her class. She is accessible every day and invites me in every time I knock. She's an inspiration. She makes you work, but I will never forget what I've learned from my many classes with her.

The more I learn about Dr. Hicks, the more impressed I am. She's intimidating at first, but if you get to know her (over a couple years, granted) you realize how much she cares about her students. Teaches a difficult subject; while lectures can get dense, she always answers questions in class. Finally, in-class banter is hilarious!

Dr. Hicks is a highly esteemed professor, and for good reason. She knows her stuff, and explains it quite well with clarification if needed. Although I never met with her outside of class, she's quite available and especially supports female math/physics students. Tough class, but she's a great professor.

Dr. Hicks is very kind and helpful. She gets a bit impatient at times, but if you are persistent in seeking help, it is worth it. We worked a lot of problems in class and did the reading on our own time. In my opinion, this is an excellent teaching strategy.
