Extremely intelligent person, however, for all of his knowledge, he's completely incapable of relaying information in a way that anyone with less than a PhD can understand. Those who pass his class come out having learned nothing, and in a given year, about a third of the students who take him end up failing.

Highly mathematical teaching style - good if you love math and learning through logical relationships, tough if you learn by other means. Limited office hours and minimally helpful during them, tons of homework and way too much weight on the final in my opinion. It's nice that he teaches straight from the book though so you can follow along.
