Very knowledgeable, helpful, clear, and fair. Appoints good TA's, exams are pretty simple, and the lectures are very info-packed. Essays are a little tricky, but that's how you learn! Don't miss this class though, there's a lot of material. Attend PASS, because the Mock Exam was 60% the same in December!

I'm surprised he hasn't writen his own text book for the course yet. Great Prof and he certainly knows a great deal about what he's teaching. He talks pretty fast in lecture, but always makes the dry stuff interesting.

Bottomley isn't the most exciting professor in the world, but you'll find the things he tells you stick. Your mark in this class will be almost entirely determined by your TA, so the prof can scarcely be blamed. Be warned though; having this guy in the morning is MURDER.

Bottomley was an amazong prof. Totally captivating when he letures...you know he truly loves polisci! his marking scheme is a little tough so dont expect an A+....but an A- is totally attainable and his course load though heavy is truly helpful...I feel like I have learned so much from his class.. not only in PSCI but in academic writing in general
