I will never forget this. He asked me to find Tilde. I remarked, "I don't know who she is". After coming off of a job which developed server technology, advancing us off of perforated paper tape and paper chad which used to grace many parades down Wall Street. RIP Professor

Those people that rate him poorly did poorly for a reason. I went to class about half the time, didn't know anything about programming, and yet aced the class easily. He knows a substantial amount about programming and teaches it passionately. A lot of people can program, but only a few can program well.

Class was difficult. He knows his stuff and is obviously very interested. He has a hard time answering questions. Also, he asks questions on tests that are beyond anything you've practiced. My mom's a calculus professor and she disagrees with his methods very much. My only B in contrast to my 16 A classes!

I had him for ICS 100, and he does know a lot. The best part about this course is if you know how to do everything on the computer, then you don't have to come to class. However, I do come to class anyway. The only part that I don't like is the quizzes because it makes me look stupid, but other than that it's cool. I got an A in his class!

I dont believe what I saw,Sam is a great teacher,yes,he'll give you lots of homework,but that all help you learning easier. I regret didn't take his course,now my math teacher sucks...if you wanna learn sth,take his course,easy grade? never!

Had him quite awhile ago, before this site existed. Surprise he still keeps his job. I guess HCC is running out of money, they can't afford better teacher. He was using his book, which was garbage. Algorithm is important, but making you write like 50 programs a semester was just ridiculous. I'm in grad school now, still can't forget the torture.
