I loved Mr. Suran. I think he was a great teacher that showed he had not only the heart of a historian but the knowledge of one. He is clear in what he wants, his tests are simple if you do your work and I think his class is simple if you take notes and read.

I had him for Western Civ II. He lectures at a high rate of speed and doesn't allow for students to ask questions. Good luck getting all the notes you will need. There is a "book review" that he assigns, it sucks! I don't recommend this man to anyone. He is a real hard a**

Yes, he was a harder teacher and you have to study for his tests, but he tells you exactly what to study, there are no surprises as to what will be on the test. I learned a lot from his lectures. If you are looking for an "A" without putting forth any effort - you won't get it here.

Horrible teacher, has to always start his classes with the lecture on God and man, WTF? Test were impossible and he would not let me retake a test when I had been in the hospital for a week! If you have him, drop him now, of course that is unless you want to have no life due to being home studying for his Shi*** tests.
