Very informative lectures and he makes them interesting. Your grade is determined by two tests that cover each halves of the semester and a midterm paper. The textbook was expensive and not really necessary as his lectures basically sum up each chapter and the tests are oriented on the lectures. Take good notes and do not miss too many days.

He likes to include a lot of his own personal opinions into his lectures. If you take notes during his lectures, you will do fine on the exams. He says you need to read the textbook but the only things on the exams are what he covers in class, so it's really not necessary to read. He also requires you to memorize dates (month and year) for exams.

Yes hes very knowledgeable. Ive never learned as much about U.S history as I have with him. But hes very arrogant. And is a harsh harsh grader. Except us to be at his level of knowledge. Only 3 exam worth 100 points. Which consists of 2 perfect essays. He doesnt follow a rubric when grading. He doesnt even grade the exams, his TA does.

A lot of people don't like history courses but theres something about Regalado that makes it worth it. He is strict and takes attendance every class. There are 3 exams and one paper due. Exams are mostly essay based. Do not miss lectures, he shares a lot of information.

Was about to cry, class is out of 300pt 2essay exams 10quest+essay 100pt each. And 2 papers 50pt each, need at least an A on all papers to obtain an A. Very tough grader, great lecturer but exams you gotta known dates and why people migrated. Had me crying at the edge of my seat the whole semester. Barely passed, not recommended but teaches well

Regalado is a good professor and cares a lot about what he is teaching. The class is based on lecture, take good notes and pay attention. He can relate the things he teaches to things he knows the students will understand, which I appreciate. The only thing I didn't like was his grading on tests. It's hard to write 2 amazing essays in 50 minutes.

Exams are like 10 multiple choice questions and two short answer essays, however, you basically need to memorize and write down all of the lecture info with dates and explain cause and effect. Interesting class but too much for my brain.

I really enjoyed this history class. I really enjoyed the lectures, they were very detailed and he made analogies that helped us understand the issues that happened in U.S. history. The tests are fairly simple if you know all the lecture material and chapter material. Take this class, because it is very interesting. :)

Amazing professor! The class meets once a week, yes, he talks the full three hours with a few visual aids. However, his lectures are interesting. Pay attention and take good notes to study! Two tests, midterm and final. They are both easy, multiple choice and a short essay. One research paper and a five minute presentation. No cell phones allowed

Great Professor. His class was very entertaining. Know his material well. The tests are pretty easy if you know the material. The test are multiple choice with an essay. Need to know material because he calls on people randomly and expects you to know. Don't need to read the book too much as long as you go to class.

Extremely Rude! calls you out if you don't know the answer to something. Makes you feel like you're back in high school, doesn't let you go to the restroom, test are essay based and have 2 bill of rights quizzes. Takes this class very hard for a Lower G.E and rudeeee.

He's extremely passionate about history. Tried to use humor but I didn't find him funny at all. Class is easy if you show up and pay attention. Book isn't necessary. Treats student like kids and picks on them at times, so annoying. Only two things I didn't like about the class.

One day a week class, he talks the full three hours with no visual aid. Take good notes! Any thing he repeats underline! Circle specific dates! Two tests, one paper, one presentation. When writing be clear, adding dates and what was happening with other ethnic groups in the same time period will help! Knows his history, answer question completely.

Prof Regalado is definitely passionate about history. 90% of class is him talking so take good notes on lectures. Tests are mult choice and an SA question. Make sure you PERSUADE your argument in essay, stating a list of facts won't go anywhere. He may seem strict but he is willing to help along with his TA's study sessions. A good class overall

Take him! He's very passionate about what he teaches which makes his lectures interesting. Tests are very fair. His TA sets up study sessions for whoever wants clues of what will be on the tests. Take good notes to study with! Go to class, he takes attendance. Those who did poorly or don't recommend him must have been seriously lazy, just saying.
