Dr. Allen was a fun and eccentric teacher! I hated chemistry in high school but find her class easy! Must attend SI sessions! TA gives pointers on what to study for tests! Do your Friday Forums and you are golden! Humor her by laughing at her jokes and ask a lot of questions! Try appreciating her for the intelligent woman she is!

I had her for the lecture and she was HORRIBLE! She was not a very good teacher and she was BOOOORING! I don't like chemistry the way it is and she didn't make it any better. He tests were very hard. She got off subject A LOT. If you can take another teacher do so. The only reason I got an A was because she counted our only blogs as extra credit.

Sucks. Bad. She's liberal as all get out. She'll spend half the class time talking about how great the Democrats are or how bad the Republicans are. Doesn't teach any real chemistry, just complains about global warming and ozone. Avoid if at all possible. The lab was a joke too. Don't miss it if she doesn't cancel. You'll fail.

The lab was junk and she cancelled it all the time and the final was over nothing that we did in lab...lecture was ok but final was hard. I spend 150 dollars on the book that she wrote..read it once and it fell apart. Piece of junk!

Laid back teacher who just is there to teach. Dont need to attend the class for attendance, but i suggest you do. Lab is mandatory, cause your grade is based on lab report, but it is easy. Lecture sucks, but lab is easy.

I did not enjoy this class at all. She talked always had to relate her lecture to thristy thrusday, beer or another form of alcohol, or illegal drugs. I think she is teaching at the university just to do research.

Very nice professor and always willing to help! A bit goofy, but will offer extra credit or points if she sees the effort being applied. Teaching style isnt the best, but a student instructor is offered for this class. ATTEND THOSE EXTRA SESSIONS! No homework, but keeping up with the readings. Test can be difficult,go the the sessions for review

Great prof! Her tests were really hard, but if you go to the SI session you will get almost the entire test. She is very understanding and will help with your grades if she knows you care. Go to class she gives tons of extra credit!!!!

Dr. Allen is a pretty nice lady. Her tests can be pretty wicked, but if you go to the Si session, they help a lot. Also, she never takes attendence, which is cool. She hands out a lot of extra credit sometimes if she does take attendence (it can't hurt you, only help you type of thing.) Her lab SUCKED really, really bad though. Very difficult.

one of the hardest and most unuseful classes ever taken. she uses slides and does not go in order or explain them very well. has a squeaky voice that hurts the ears. burnt out hippie. DO NOT take her class if it can be avoided!!! this is your warning.

Do not get this professor under any circumstance. If you have the class, drop it! Seroiusly. Take it a different time with her husband. She is miserable. Bad jokes. She also doesnt explain anything. I received an A+ in Chem in high school, and now have to retake it because her tests were so ridiculous. I had to teach myself everything. :(
