I"ve never had a more caring professor. Sandy treated me as if I were her daughter, and made sure that I had the keys to succeed in my coursework. She is also my adviser, and is constantly checking up on me making sure that I am on the right track to graduate.

I could not respect this woman more if I tried. I wish she had been my mom. She LOVES teaching, she LOVES her students, and it shows. Each class literally has an outline so notetaking is easy. Her tests are straightforward if you study. I love this woman and am going to miss her influence in my life dearly.

Inspiring professor with contagious passion for the environment. Great lectures. Take notes and make a friend in the class so they can get notes for you if you're sick b/c she doesn't post PowerPoints on blackboard. I really recommend this class.

Crimes against in the Environment is a valuable class; you take lots of info from it. She scares you with the knowledge base she has from this class. Class is mandatory. 3 exams, one paper. No cell phones or electronics; its trouble in river city. But seriously, shes wonderful. Do your work and you'll do fine. Sandy is great!

Sandy was a great teacher. She is passionate about the subject she is teaching, as well as extremely knowledgeable. Her classes are not easy, nor is her grading process, but she does have extra credit available. This was a great class and I learned a lot!

She is teaching to make a difference. She's friendly, understanding, and she absolutely knows what she's talking about! Her knowledge about the environment will make you reevaluate your carbon footprint and will stick with you long after you recieve your final grade. Attendance is mandatory, no cellphones or laptops, & make sure to take good notes!

Law and State is a very interesting class. Sandy gives you great perspectives of social welfare from all over. There are three exams and you have the option to winterize homes if you want. Extra credit was also available, do it! Overall, I learned valuable knowledge about social welfare, its a life changing course. Sandy is great!

If you are serious about wanting to succeed in criminology as a major than you will enjoy this class with Sandy. She is very knowledgeable in research methods and very supportive. You will definitely enjoy this class, but there are three mind challenging exams and three projects and that is your overall grade. I received a B, very pleased.

Research methods involves a lot of work. Don't be fooled, effort is key in order to well in this class. There are three major projects and three exams. Sandy is a great professor. Very kind, very willing to help with anything. Overall, this class will challenge you, in the end you will find out its worth it. Great class.

Sandy is incredible!! I learned so much in her class. Her class is very, very clear because she uses overheads (AWESOME)and keeps the pace active and engaging, but not too fast. Seriously, don't bring your computer; don't use your cell phone during class; and try to make it to every class because attendence counts. Follow those & u'll get an A!

One of the most vivacious and passionate people I have ever met. Her excitement and interest in the subject matter is contagious. She is the only professor I can tolerate for an extended period of time especially on a friday morning. She changed my awareness of the world and made me question my whole beliefs system. She is more than an asset to the university. I will miss her when I go.
