I took this class during Maymester and would absolutely take her again and recommend taking her. There is no textbook required, but you do have a substantial amount of reading with the online texts. Only 3 essays, 3 discussion posts and a final project however, as long as you put effort in and use the sources she provides for assignments it's easy.

Professor Brallier is awesome!!! If you go to class and do all the assignments, you should pass with flying colors! I think her main concern is that students put forth the effort. I would highly recommend taking her, you won't regret it because you can't not like her!

While Dr. Brallier is an awesome person and very well respected, this class (Sociology of Religion) was super boring and a waste of my time. I was going in expecting learn about different cultures and spirituality across the globe, but that was not the case. The class was partly in person and online, and we got out early a lot. It just let me down.

This class was supposed to be two days a week but turned into a hybrid course where student only went one day. Basically every week you read over 20 pages in the book then have a 15 question quiz. Going to the actual class is pointless. It should just be an online course. Most of the classes we had a guest speaker.

Dr. Brallier is an amazing individual. She isn't tough but she isn't easy. She challenges students to show their potential. But she also knows when the challenge is to tough, and will go out of her way to help anyone. She is the professor that understands students and understands the struggle of a loaded semester. Best Prof. I have ever had!!!

All I can say is she is one of my favorite professors. Dr. Brallier really cares about the well being of her students and is amazingly at teaching the material! If you are not looking for a professor who is fun, great at what she does, and challenging then don't take her classes! Hands down AWESOME!!!!!!!! TAKE HER CLASSES!!!!

This class was not only very interesting, it was very easy. This was a hybrid class. You only go to class on Monday and Wednesday, and Friday is online. All quizzes, journals, and tests are done online. She is very humorous and nice. I definitely recommend taking her!

Without a doubt one of the best professors at Coastal! She is extremely helpful and will go out of her way to make sure you understand the material. Class is entertaining and not a boring lecture like some of the other professors. Brallier is very passionate about her work and wants to see students do well! IF YOU DON'T TAKE HER,YOUR A FOOL!

She is entertaining and nice but she gives 50 question online exams for 60mins. It's not enough time to even go back if you skip a qauestion. I've done terribl on the exams but have gotten 20/20 on all of the other weekly assignments. You NEED the book, don't fool yourself! All of the weekly assignments are from the book but they're a breeze.

I've only had her for on-line classes in SOCI. She really knows how to make those classes interesting. Engages in discussions on message boards. Really impressed. I am a double major, and if I were told I'd have to drop Politics, I'd go with Soci just for the quality teaching.
