Mel was an awesome teacher. She's tough on her students to make sure they do their best and really taught me a lot in the classes I've taken with her. She was also my advisor and helped me with everything from getting me into the program to helping me schedule classes.

Mel is an awesome teacher. She knows her stuff & is very helpful. I had a lot of fun in both Vis Com classes. She is funky and not boring at all. Let's class out early a decent amount throughout the semester. Allowed to miss 3 classes I believe. I love her reactions when she sees something she likes. One of my favorite professors! You'll have fun!

Mel is hard on her students. But it is so worth it in the end. She knows what she is doing, she wont bulls*#t you about that. This is evident to anyone who has worked in the "real world" She treats her students like professionals and expects that level of quality. It has improved my work surely
