Sara is a great person. She is willing to help you outside of class. If you don't put in the effort you will fail her class. There are not many points so the small things are important. For exams, she includes a study guide online, if you go through it you'll be fine. Field trips are fun! Didn't use book at all. Lectures were painful long.

Clark understands that the majority of people in the class aren't art majors, so she doesn't expect too much out of you. Show up, put in the effort, do some extra credit and you should easily earn above a B.

Sara is one of the nicest professors I've had. However, the class itself is just boring. She is monotone, but if you focus and take notes, it's an easy A. You take approximately three field trips to different museums and write reports on them. The reports aren't too hard. Study guide for exams, they're not too bad but you need to study a little bit

My main complaint is that there are so few points in this class. She gives lots of chances for extra credit. I really suggest doing as many of those as possible. I only did three of them and it raised my grade a whole letter grade. Go to class and pay attention and the exams wont be that hard at all. I stopped reading the book after the 3rd week.

Sara is one of the most knowledgable professors at SVSU. Knows everything about Ceramics and is extremely dedicated to her students and her profession. She is always there for her students and does anything she can to help. Inspires and provides excellent feedback. Doesn't deserve bad feedback from Art 100 students, she is fantastic.

Very long and boring. Lectures are long, and she is monotone. You go on two or three field trips that are required that you must drive to and pay for. Her grading scale does not make any sense and the tests are confusing she gives you reviews sheets on v space and you don't talk about any of it before hand. Do not take.

At the beginning, she made it clear she understood we are not there because we are art majors, but because it is a required class. After that, she treated us as art majors. LONG presentations, field trips we had to drive to and pay to get in. Most boring class I've ever taken.

Extremely monotone. If you thought art was boring, wait until Clark teaches it to you. It gets worse. She takes a long time to put grades into VSpace so you have no idea where you stand. Her exams are over things that weren't even talked about in the book or lectures. Attendance is mandatory so you have to sit through her awful class

DO NOT TAKE HER! she's monotone and does NOT make this class exciting at all. She doesnt teach anything, she only has you take your own notes so you dont know what to write down. She doesn't teach you what you need to know the midterm and exam are so difficult. If you have this class i would switch for a different teacher!

Very nice professor! She explains things very well and really tries to get students to understand concepts though demonstrations and many trips to the MMF and the other art gallery on campus. Read the book! And go to lecture and you will pass very easily. Kind of hard to pay attention. But she is an easy grader and will help if you need it.
