It would appear as though Dr. Brinegar has been rebutting reviews on here. Part of being an effective instructor is assessing the need of one's students. When you force 500 levels on a 100 class, this is improper assessment of the students' level of autonomy and frankly you do not need to be teaching if you are so inflexible. Dr. Brinegar is such.

The Geography Gods were not smiling upon us Marshall Students when they sent to us this she-beast. Sara is a bitter, bitter woman who takes her frustrations in life out on her students. Her assignments were straightforward, but her grading was unpredictable. Nothing you could do, Not a thing, could please this woman.

Has no idea what she is doing. A teacher should teach. Made the comment "If you forget what I said, ask me for help, I'm here to help." Good idea, however in reality when asked for help she made fun of my team, implied that we did not pay attention at the beginning of class, and made us feel stupid. Go back to Illinois if you like it so much!

I only had her for UNI, which is a waste of time to begin with, but she only made things worse with the way she taught the class. Her rules were WAY too strict (esp. regarding absences). We were also the only UNI class to go the entire semester. We were also the only ones to have a final. Yes. You read correctly. A UNI final.

Dr. who? Oh yea Brinegar. I'm sorry I sometimes get confused who is teaching the class because it seems like Matt, the man from Texas, knows more than she does. This class is not hard at all. All you have to do is show up to the class and do the assignments and take the tests. The tests aren't all that difficult, so long as you study for them, so make sure that you read over your lecture notes and at least attempt to pay attention to the lecture. Overall, a good and helpful teacher; I reccomend her.
