Comment:

This professor is a very nice lady, and she is very helpful. She'll meet you during office hours to go over your papers, and she'll give you tons of help, if you ask for it. My only complaint is that she did take FOREVER to grade anything, and class discussions could be a little boring. Other than that, I would recomment this professor.

Dean is a nice lady and she seems to have a good understanding of the material covered but she makes class so awkward! Its like she never really knows what to say or do in class. She takes FOREVER to post any grades. I waited AT LEAST 3 weeks to get any grades back even on one page papers, but she does grade fairly. I would not recommend this prof.

I was reading some of the comments left here for the teacher, and I was a bit shocked by the people who were leaving terrible comments about Ms. Dean. She gives you basically everything you need to know about the exams on her study guide, and she grades VERY EASILY. Go to class. Read the text. Write a paper. That's all you had to do.

I like her...She's very nice and makes an effort to get the class involved in discussions. The hybrid class is awesome but be prepared for a BI-WEEKLY discussion board. I can't say anything negative about her. I'd take her again next semester if I had to.

She was a great teacher very clear when giving directions and always gave awesome feedback concerning our papers. I had a hybrid course which was awesome. She grades very generously and even tho attendance is required by the english department she allowed me to make up a few online discussions i had missed. very fair teacher loved her class!

Dean is an okay teacher. Unfortunately, I don't have anything really good to say. I took a hybrid class from her - half online, half in class. She takes forever to post grades. About 3 weeks to grade a paper. She also promised audio responses for every paper, and we never got one. She did allow her student to re-write a paper for a better grade.

Ms. Dean was a great teacher. Her hybrid class was one of the easiest classes I have taken at ASU. Sure the papers were long, but Ms. Dean helped me along the way. I turned things in late and she still gave me full credit. Overall, she is a very helpful teacher and a plus about the class is that it is in a computer lab so you can surf the web.

I didn't think she was that bad. Given, I had a hybrid course, so I only saw her for an hour a week, but she wasn't that bad. There were no boring lectures, and there were a lot of group discussions. She didn't seem to be that forceful of her opinion to me. Perhaps it's because she said she was a big fan of my writing, but I liked Ms. Dean

BAD TEACHER she really has no idea what she's talking about-> so if you act you do and your the best writer in the world she'll go for it... NO lie i told her like every other day "i STILL have my A in here ... and guess what I got an A!!! but overall I HATED the class!!

Ms. Dean is really cool. I don't know what some of you people have against her - she leads awesome discusses and its so much better than a boring lecture. She was also helped me a lot when i was struggling. Her tests are really easy if you're paying attention in class and she'll help you with your paper. If you're sick of lecture, take her class.

Terrible teacher. I was seriously thinking about dropping the class and taking it in summer school. IF you do not share the same liberal views that she does its almost guaranteed F so i had to fake my way through and adopt her insane idology and Bush bashing. I ended up with a high B. She not a real teacher, that is she doesn't have a degree.
