Professor Zimmerman is great at leading a discussion, I felt as though I learned a lot in this class. While she is a harsh grader, I feel as though my academic writing has improved a lot as a result of it. This wouldn't be a topic I would have chosen myself, but I would take this class again in retrospect.

Took Prof. Zimmerman for a romantic lit. grad seminar. She is very soft-spoken and helpful, and has a gentle, polite demeanor. Her seminars were mellow, yet extremely informative and engaging. She provides extensive (and constructive) feedback on your work, which is a hallmark sign of a professor truly caring about their students. Take her.

Professor Zimmerman is wonderful. Brilliant, kind & helpful. I'm not an English major, but took the class to fulfill a core requirement. I first felt intimidated by my well-spoken English major classmates, but thanks to Prof. Zimmerman, I grew to feel comfortable in class. I was afraid I wasn't going to do well at first, & I ended up earning an A.

Great teacher! Her class is interesting, a little slow and dull sometimes, but if you really pay attention you learn a lot. You can see she really loves the subject. And if you are concerned about your essay (the grade, grammar, etc.) you can go talk to her and she can help you out spot what's wrong with your essay. Very understanding.
