Wow, I cannot believe everyone is of the opinion that this guy is an awesome teacher. He knows Behaviorism extremely well, but the study of Behaviorism was not supposed ti be the focus of my class---education was.If you approach the class as a psychology you will do well

I don;t understand all the negative feedback as well. Professor Axelrod is one of the nicest teachers i ever had. He is very clear in stating things and he is a very fair grader. You really learn a lot of important material from this class which will only help you in your upcoming career. If you do what you're asked...you will get a good grade!

Don't understand all the negative feedback here. Dr. Axelrod is extraordinarily nice, highly knowledgable, and very accomodating to both education and psych students. Good amount of work but you learn a good deal.

Axelrod was perhaps one of the most boring professors I ever encountered. He makes Regis Philbin look like DisneyWorld. Not only that but his clasroom mannerisms were horrible - he stood in the same place the entire class and then is going to try and tell the students they need to be more enthusiastic in their videotapes- PPPLEEEEASE!!!!

Very nice person and extremely helpful. He taught quite alot of theory. He taught us important procedures of how to implement the various theories in the classroom. Teaching style was a little bland.

I think he is very nice, and he really gives alot of positive feedback...(thus the positive reinforcement)...however I think he could have related alot of the topics convered in class to special ed better. Not to mention the lectures were slightly boring.

He really knows what he is talking about but it is REALLY boring! Only gives two tests and three papers- which you can make up-not too much work....grades pretty fairly except wants grammar/spelling to be perfect!

While not really having anything to do with student teaching, he made us think outside the constructivist box. Great in that respect.

Give him a break, guys. He really means well. He just needs to realize that theory goes nowhere in the classroom, and that he needs to spend more time on reality-based information, rather than behavioral studies. Nice guy, not a a thrilling curriculum.
