Show up, listen to his lectures, and do the online quizzes. People who don't pass this class have only themselves to blame. He literally offers extra credit for every single quiz if you complete them by a certain date (usually at the end of every week). Not to mention he offers a couple large bonus point essays. He's pretty funny also.

It is really easy to pass this class if you just go to class and do the assignments. He offers a ton of extra credit, just at the convenience of him.. He is extremely monotone. I literally never opened my textbook. But I took notes all the time.

I am enrolled in two online courses with Dr. Barton. OK history and African American History. The course work is easy just time consuming. A lot of reading and a lot of writing. I probably would feel less stressed if I had only taken one of his courses this semester.

Worst teacher i have ever had, too smart for his own good and makes you feel dumb just by talking to him. He does not help you at all and you can never write an essay that will please him. I am a history major that makes all A's in my other history classes but he takes the cake and gave me a C. Avoid his classes if possible.

He was nice and all, but it was basically IMPOSSIBLE to follow his lectures and he wasn't very clear on directions to taking tests. I was shocked that I passed the class, and he's a cool guy, but I'd rather never take another class of his again.

This class was one of my all time favorites. I totally enjoyed going and hearing Barton's point of view. The man gave me the giggles everyday. He's simi-hard, but TAKE THE ESSAY TEST NOT THE M/C. I learned alot, but attending is a must to suceed.
