He is a fair grader and respects his students as professionals. He expects the student to take responsibility for their work. He notices who is particiapting in discussion and taking notes and who is not. He does not like emailing so if you need to talk to him, it needs to be done in person. His tests can be complicated just make sure to read.

Great professor, although make sure you study hard and ask questions. Gives good study guides to help prep you for exams. Read the textbook as most of his lectures and exams are based off the text. Very lecture heavy and sometimes boring but is good at explaining the point.

His office hours are very open, he's willing to give you the extra help. Homework is minimal besides reading out of a textbook and a three part essay due throughout the semester. His classes are lectures except for a few, they tend to get slightly boring because he talks about whats in the textbook. He is a great guy, and a it's great class.

Get ready for lectures pretty much every class, but if you listen and take good notes you'll do just fine. Try to participate, it makes the lectures go by fast and makes them more interesting.

He lets the class pick test dates and paper due dates but the tests are somewhat difficult due to how wordy they are.

He knows how to speak on social problems BUT beware of when he grades your tests. You should always check to make sure he grades all your answers right because he accidentally graded almost all my tests wrong (and after going to him I received a much higher grade than he originally assigned). Also, his tests are a bit disorganized and flawed.

I feel Scott is very laid back. A very good speaker. And as long as you are up front and honest with him about anything you will be fine

No point in paying attention in class because the material he teaches is based on reading. Tests are basically just copies of the study guide. Study guide questions are on quizlet! DO/STUDY THE GUIDE. Takes forever to give back assignments. Lazy grader, essay grades aren't earned, just given out. Will lower your grade if you don't speak in class.

He takes a long time to give back tests/papers, and lectures can be boring. Take lots of notes. Study guides will cover all that you need to know, but reading outside out class helps; study hard. His grading rubric can be a little confusing, but he's willing to explain anything you don't understand. He seems a bit stoic, but he's a regular guy.

Super funny guy and pretty easy going. Come to class, participate, and that's pretty much it. You HAVE TO read the textbook outside of class. He explains as much as he can in 50 minutes but you should take notes and read outside the class. He makes sure you understand and if you don't, he explains. Kind of a strict grader, but that's it.

Corley is a really nice guy and is very caring. That being sad he is a really tough grader. he wouldn't bump my grade up by less than half a point. Great guy, not the fairest grader.

Kinda scatter brained. Tends to be disorganized, but a good professor. Watch out for when he gets on a tangent. At that point, if you know the material, you can day dream a little, but be prepared to pay attention once he gets back on track. Instructions for papers are lengthy and confusing and his exams are long and trick. Slackers beware.

His lectures are long and he is aware of it so throws in videos and group work to make up for it. Class consists of a 10page and two 3 page papers, also 3 tests in which he drops the lowest grade. Intelligent guy his lectures can get pretty boring and his handwriting is very hard to read, he would not be my first choice to take again, but would.

He is a great professor and the class is easy to pass if you show up to class. You have 3 papers and 2 test but the main focus is on the papers. I will be retaking the class because I messed up my papers and my grade will show it.

Horrible teacher. He is arrogant, condescending and very unorganized. His notes are completely illegible. He talks in circles never really making any point. I dreaded going to this class. If I wasn't good at history prior to this class, I probably would have failed.

He's a professor who cares about what he's teaching. He like to use big words to make himself sound smarter. You do 3 MAJOR papers and 2 tests. The papers are VERY stressful. If you attend class, take notes, read, study hard for tests you're going to do just fine.
