I did truly learn a lot in this class and I am glad I took it. But if all 5 of my classes were as labor intensive as this one I would not have made it through the semester. Dont fall behind, dont cram at the end or youll be lucky to get a C

During a 4 wk accelerated class, not replying to students promptly, sucks. Keep to the facts, no personal views, should have been indicated! Both profs and students should be accountable. On a positive note, he is quite engaging and does a great job at public speaking events. One of the few Profs that is involved with outside activities.

Greenwood is the beat professor out there. Highly recommend taking a class with him. Hes very easy to talk to assignments are easy and clear just make sure you read/skim the readings. He basically wants everyone to pass no homework and just a couple short exams. Lectures are easy to understand. Any class Greenwood teaches you should take it!

PSCI 390 is on Syria and was an amazing class. REALLY gonna miss it. Learned so much. Great discussions and very insightful!! So necessary. Prof Greenwood is great! Relaxed, understanding, gets along well with students. We read three (not text) books. Three short essay exams plus the final, which are (short) essays based on the last two books!

He is a great professor. Really knows his ME History. I appreciated his patience for students that don't know anything about the ME. The entire class is based off of 3 novels. Easy to digest, but come prepared to class to ask questions and participate. Attendance and reading is a must. Overall, really approachable and respectable guy.

This guy is really likes his teachings. Very interesting stuff. However, he assigns tons of reading and pop quizzes you on it. Grades the quizzes very harshly if he thinks you didn't read. If that wasn't enough, you only have those quizzes, participation, a group project, and a final essay. If you bomb those quizzes you are in trouble.

Very unclear with grading. Assigned a long term paper with only 1 week or so left in class, which was frustrating. Lectures were not interesting and could have been obtained from reading. Frustrating to have an A on all the assignments and end with a B in the class, which makes me believe the last paper was the basis of the grade.

Not my favorite. This class was really boring for me even though I really excepted this class to be a lot more interesting. I didn't like the lectures too much or the fact that all we did was take exams based exactly on the book. Instead of just discussing the books he should show us through visuals and different forms of media .

Dr. Greenwood likes things a certain way & requires you to read a lot. He is always willing to help if you go to his office hours. I think many kids got frustrated with the first half of the class because we mainly studied the history of the ME. There's not "too many" tests, there's only 3. Exams are the only assignments that go into the gradebook

A nice guy but a terrible professor. He makes a very fun and interesting subject boring. His teaching style is very primitive which includes his exams. Expect too many exams and too much reading. His tests are easy if you write exactly from the book but that does not mean you have learned anything but rather your copying and pasting like a robot.

His homework is always just chapters from the book or reading online articles. All you did in class was discussed about the homework readings. The more you participate in class, the higher your grade is. There was a few writing assignments but they were really easy. And he started giving us quizzes to make sure we actually read the chapters.

Disagree with the last posts. I attended every class of the 339. On my first test I got a A then the following two tests and essay i recieved a 70% on all of them. Greenwood does lead you to believe that you understand the material and gets the class discussion going, however come test time you get a low score. BE AWARE

GREAT PROFESSOR. One of the best political science teachers at CSUSM. I have taken numerous classes with this professor and never once had a bad experience. Disregard all the bitter/ negative comments. Yes, if you want to be lazy and waste your college tuition, and not get an education then don't take his class because you will fail.

actually learned a lot in this class despite how uninterested in the topic i was. you have to be willing to participate in this class! if he knows you, you'll pass. NO ESSAYS (besides the short ones on the tests). dont have to read. just do the study questions before a test & he gives you exactly what the essay question answers are.

Great professor if you actually come to college because you enjoy and want to learn. The bad comments this guy is getting are most likely coming from lazy people that are disappointed that he sometimes requires you to do the ready. I don't blame him. Overall one of the best professors i have had.

Class was interesting. Midterm & final are essay questions and have to turn in two papers -- hurt some students who are not strong writers. But if you can write clearly, it's an easy 'A'.
