He's very disorganized, marks random things wrong, and makes it clear that he doesn't think high school kids should take college classes. He spends the majority of the class telling random stories that end differently each time. He acts like he teaches at Harvard and acts like his students are senators.

Scott Hartman is truly a good guy who is passionate about the subject he teaches. The class is incredibly easy, as long as you show up, take notes, and are willing to participate in class discussion. He gives you the essay questions for the test ahead of time, so responsibly students will succeed in this class. I enjoyed this semester.

Nice professor but not my favorite. The lectures get annoying. Show up to class or not and you will do fine. Lectures are boring. Although the tests are nice because you know what to expect which definitely makes the class better!

Professor Hartman is a spunky old guy with a true passion for politics. He manages to keep the class lighthearted, yet engaging. The entirety of the grade comes from exams (which he provides the answers for ahead of time), and one major essay. Overall a very easy class, but full of good information.

Everyday he lectured with his erratic looking word document. He didn't really understand how to use computer though it was hilarious to watch him fight with it. His exams are basically impossible to fail being that he gives the questions out a week in advance and he grades really easy. Overall it was an easy A just as long as you take some notes.

I am currently taking my 2nd class with Scott. His exams are pretty awesome because he gives you questions ahead of time, unless they are scenarios. Which are cool because he doesn't care what your answer is as long as it is logical and you can BACK IT UP! He has sooooo many stories and we watch an look up various things while in class that have to do with the material. Many times you'll walk into class and there will be some music playing and can't help but dance a little(:

He was a good teacher. he made learning about government interesting. His power point was difficult to follow at first but once you get used to his abriviations it wont be hard.He refuses to give anyone 100% and is not afraid to tell you this. I have to say that his grading system is a little messed up. He is pretty easy as long as you study.

Very good professor. Exams were essays, but he would give you a list of possible essays that would be on the exam that you could study. You can't b.s. the exams, he expects you to know the facts. Just pay attention, take notes and read and you should get an A or B easy.

Mr. Hartman is a great teacher. I entered the class knowing nothing, and I have learned a lot. He is very nice and helpful. If you need help, he is willing to help you however you need. Long, sort of boring class, but very nice guy. If i was interested in Politics, i would have enjoyed this more. I am glad i had him as a teacher.

He gave me a low grade even though I earned a higher one and I don't know why. Tests were pretty nice, liked the way they were set up. Good teach, just be careful what you say, he doesn't invite questioning his logic.

Comment:

I had Mr. Hartman for Philosophy and now Government and I think he's a really smart man. He can get a tad off track at times, but he's funny and honest. And, for both of the classes I've had him for, he gives out the questions for the tests ahead of time. And usually lets you pick which questions you want to answer. I like him just fine!
