Scott is very chill and cool as a teacher. He mostly knows his stuff and isn't too hard. Sometimes he's just not very good at explaining technical things. But I liked his class.

Kecken is like a big ball of dough... You gotta work him to get something good out of it. Definitely knows his stuff, about both film and video, ask questions. Reasonable guy, especially as you take more classes with him. Completely interesting and totally chill. Always asks more of you until he gets your best.

Right now I am extremely annoyed with this man. He is a good teacher for Video 1 and 2, but avoid taking him for film. He doesn't know his technical stuff very well. Nice guy though...I just like organization.

It took me awhile to appreciate Scott's teaching methods. He is hard and there is no doubt about that, but this major isn't meant to be easy. You need to learn the academics and practicums of Film in order to be usefull to this demanding medium.

I am not impressed with Scott Kecken. He is a tough grader and his explannation of the material or usage of the equipment was horrendous. However,he is a really nice guy and can be quite funny, but I just didn't think that his class was my cup of tea.
