i took scott's stat290 and stat291 at the same time. and i strongly recommend student who want really learn something to choose his courses not only scott is the most intelligent person i ever see but also he is intentional to give his student a great grade. thanks for him i finally enrolled my dreamed university. do the excise on textbook is key

Clear lecture. His class is so funny and interesting. If you understand his lecture and do the sample test on his website, you will definitely get A. He will tell you everything he will test on the final. Don't miss his last two classes. One thing I don't like about him is that he won't let you copy the notes while he is talking.

Stat101 is my first course taken in Coquitlam College. I did really bad on the first quiz. However, the midterm and the finals change everything since i spend lots of time in samples on his site. His accent is strong but he gives you enough time to digest the material in class. We often comment him with a sarcastic tone but he is not that bad.:)

I dont know if it was my own problem or what i find out this class is extremely hard The quizzes will be open books and notes and he said there would be 3-4 quizzes but we only had 2 and only got 1 back so i think he is pretty lazy So many materials to teach and sometimes he will extend the class 10 mins longer:(

He is a good guy and I took his class twice,He wants us do exactly he ask you to do,otherwise he will deduct our participation marks .Quite fair marker,but I never get our Quiz back, may be he just wants using Quiz to push us go though the notes and do some review stuff.Helpful teacher,never mad,if u ask stupid Questions.

He's real PhD. (permanent head damaged) but He's a nice person. don't be late for class o/w you will get zero on your quizes which take considerablely large at the end. sometimes he's retardy and a typical chinese insturctor, Keep teaching teaching for 2 ~ 3 hours. never stop writing

Fair lectures,but exams can be tricky, especially final. hes lazy, and he never changes the notes he uses in class,one girl in my class had notes from previous semesters, and she didnt need to add a thing on it,not too good. unorganized, spend too much time talking about himself, and when he feels he cant finish the materials, he just rush it.

he did a great job on the subject. mastered the materials very well. got A on both 290 and 291. thx to him i'm at UBC rite now. just need to suck him up a little bit than u'll be fine... oh yeah dont miss any single minutes of his lecture.
