Dr. Reid is a professor who cares about his students and tries his best to get to know them even in a lecture hall of 200 students. He gives everyone plenty of resources to learn from besides his lectures, like online homework and practice tests. As long as you put in the work it's easy to get a good grade.

Dr. Reid is the best professor. He's always willing to help, goes out of his way to make everyone understand. His office hours are super helpful to go over exams and any questions you have, definitely recommend. Even though it's a big lecture class with around 200 people, he learns names very quickly which is impressive. Take his class if you can!

Dr. Reid is the best professor I have had, by far. The class is easy to understand and cares about all the students success. Out of 200 students, he knows me by name. He also holds review sessions the day before exams and really works to make sure you understand the material. He also makes really funny dad jokes and chemistry jokes. Brilliant dude

Dr. Reid knows exactly what he's talking about which is why he's so good at what he does. Already passed AP chem with full credit, but I'd still take his class within a heartbeat. Caring guy, very intelligent, makes students want to learn even if they don't like science. A true gem.

Great professor, probably the best at marquette for chemistry. Go to office hours after you get your exam back, he will go over problems and up your grade, easily deserved a C and got an AB.

Reid is soo nice and helpful. Go to his office hours if you need help with anything, especially after you get your exam back. Seriously, go to him with your exam (hint hint, wink wink). I personally hated the flipped classroom because I don't self learn very well, and I prefer lecture teaching it to me rather than a video I may not understand.

Flipped classroom was really nice because you can go at your own pace. Requires self-discipline, though. Reid is very helpful and makes sure you actually learn and understand class content. Tests are multiple choice and written. Tough, but practice tests and going to office hours help a lot.

Dr. Reid is a great teacher. He was there for me during and not during the lecture. After every test I was able to go to him and ask questions to understand the material. Sometimes he even gave me a few points back. Very good teacher. (Reason easiness was a 3 was because its chemistry, very good teacher and if you took chem prior should be fine)

He likes to do this thing where what he teaches doesn't match up with the lab you're doing, so you kinda have to teach yourself a little bit. It was alright, though, because my TAs were willing to work with my problems. Reid's a pretty chill guy, I want to take Flip courses next semester, but I cannot :(

Dr. Reid is a fantastic teacher, especially coming from a student who has had no prior knowledge of chemistry. His lectures can be confusing, but he always has office hours and often extends his office hours to meet one on one with students. His test are mildly hard, but if you go to his review sessions you should do fine. I would recommend him.

Dr. Reid is a fantastic professor. Gen Chem 1 can be a very difficult class as a 1st semester freshman, but he has a great personality that breaths life into the subject. Lectures can be hard to get through sometimes, but paying attention is essential. Lab is terrible, but eventually you get used to it and it gets better.

Amazing guy. He is more than willing to help you if you need it. He is funny. The only bad thing about his class is his tests, many people do not finish them, but I think his students did better on tests than the others classes and he also curves the tests scores. Overall he is probably the best choice when it comes to picking a Chemistry prof.

Reid was a great professor and is passionate about chem and helping students. Went to his office hours a couple times and he was very friendly. Tests were definitely tough, but do practice problems and put the time in and you'll be just fine. I really dislike chemistry, but Reid made it manageable.

8am chemistry is awful, but Scott Reid is literally the best professor I have ever had. He is super nice if you go to his office hours. He really wants you to succeed. His tests are very hard and you have to work fast. He somehow gets to know people by name in a 250 person lecture. He is literally the Dumbledore of chemistry. He is amazing.

Dr. Reid was one of the best professors I have had so far at Marquette. He genuinely cares about his students. He tries to make the class exciting for an 8am. He is very approachable, and will give points back on exams if you talk them over with him in office hours. He is a great professor and I would recommend him to anyone.
