This guy is literally a professional when it comes to theory. He is incredibly skilled in all things theory. Do your work and don't do it absent-mindedly -- strive to understand what you are doing. It doesn't matter what professor you have, understanding* is the key to success. To a previous poster, carpal tunnel is a syndrome, not a disease.

I think he really has to learn that life doesn't revolve around his class. He is very strict with his attendance policy and doesn't explain things as clear as he should. He also uses his carpal tunnel disease as an excuse to get out of playing examples and grading papers.

I enjoyed the class. He is a funny teacher, most of his jokes flop but he uses them to poke fun at himself. The tests were pretty much from the notes. Go to class everyday and do the in class writing assignments, they will help your grades. I would take him again if I had the choice.

the first semester i had him i was like "damn, lighten up." now that he has his doctorate he's a whole lot more easy-going. he still has the potential to make you feel dumb if you don't know that a chord is in fact diminished instead of minor, but he knows his stuff and i've learned alot from him

Dr. Venkman, look alike from Ghost Busters! Sarcastically funny! But very impatient if you do not understand. Not helpful at all.

i think he knows his stuff but he's is a sorry excuse for a teacher. He needs to learn how to teach, his tests cover other things that are not what we cover in class. it would be nice if he left.

class wouldn't be so bad if he understood our life don't revolve around him. speaking of life he needs to get one hangin with students at lunch all the time talking about theory is not what we pay him to do. finally he attendence policy suck to strict
