Class was a 7-week format, online, and was wildly under-prepared to do so. No prior experience with the material (political history? liberalist theory?) made for a tough start. The class was great, though. Tons of work, but great and very personalized feedback, encouragement to push yourself. I loved this class and would study with him again!

FAVORITE CLASS IN COLLEGE SO FAR. I hate learning history ( and mostly there isn't much history in the course) but he didn't only make it bearable, he made it enjoyable. I had an awesome time! He scheduled us many field trips and he was super nice and loves talking to students. Also very understanding. I learned a lot!!

Class is not easy by any means, BUT the workload is reasonable for this level class. Be sure to do at least some of the reading and participate! Very witty and makes anything interesting. Extremely intelligent yet not egotistical.

def a passionate teacher, but i thought the work load was ridicuous for a 100 lvl class towards the end. a 3 pg paper, 10 page paper over the textbook and a final all at once. attendnce is a MUST!!! you miss 1 class you will fall behind!

I couldnt & still cant grasp history, however, he made it more interesting and was great at explaining it. He has 2 tests and 2 papers.Before the tests he gives a "study guide" in which 5 out of the questions he gives you will make up the entire tests.He likes detail but anyone who attends class will be able to answer the ?s. Great class/teacher!

Great teacher, passionate about the subject. Has a good sense of humor which helps make class entertaining and interesting. Really knows the subject, and easy to talk to about the class and is helpful. Only a few assignments (2 papers, mid term and final) which makes it easier to just enjoy learning about the subject rather than stressing over it.

He is a good teacher. A lot more fun and interesting than I had expected. I took his class to fulfill core a requirement, but he made it a lot easier to survive! He only gives a midterm, a final, and requires 2 papers. He is passionate about history, and tries to make it interesting for those of us who are not as passionate. Great professor!

It was a great class. I learned a lot. I just wish I didn't take it as a summer class. The grade was based on 1 test and 2 essays. So if you didn't do well out of the gates, you didn't end up doing that well in class. But I DEFINITELY recommend taking it.
