He is very helpful in explaining on difficult issues and makes sure he has covered all required topics. Gives explanations with real life problems and gives test review which is very essential for this course and the test. Listening to his lectures and taking notes definitely helped me through out the test. I would love to take him again.

He does not count attendance. He's very boring, but it is accounting after all. Its 3 test- first is 25% second is 25% and the final is 50%. He gives an extra credit for 10 points on each test- EASY 10 points. He gives a solid review of the test beforehand, but the tests are not that easy. Definitely have to put in effort to do well in this class

He is an amazing professor, well respected and he cares for his students. He has his office hours there for anyone who wants to stop by for help on anything. He gives 3 exams 30% each and a paper worth 10%. He also gives a review before the exam which is essential. Other than that take good notes and youre good to go. mtc 50 ques each exam

Alot of information you must imbibe and you cant miss a moment of him teaching. So dry and boring; could barely keep my head up for more than 30 minutes and its imperative you pay attention for all 4 hours or else failure is eminent. Grade based on 3 test @30% each and a short 10% paper. Needs more down time and class interaction, not just lecture.

Prof. Ruthizer is really nice and he tries to make class enjoyable. He only takes attendance the first 3 weeks because he has to. He'll want you to buy accounting paper so you can hand in extra credit that's due the day of the exam. You'll also need the textbook. Definitely read the textbook and do the homework problems for a better understanding.

Ruthizer is incredibly knowledgeable about accounting. He knows what he's doing. Make sure you do the homework or are at least there when he goes over it (it will help for the test). He gives an extra credit before every test. I suggest recording the lecture when he goes over what's going to be on the test. Don't slack with the class!!

you really have to read the textbook and do or at least try all the homeworks (everything, daily). go to class to fully understand hws u didn't get and that's pretty much it. i really thought i was gonna do bad in this class. i didn't put that much effort in, but still somehow got an ok grade.

It's a course loaded with information, however he gives a review a week before the exams (2 midterms, 1 final), which were super helpful. Be sure to attend class and TAKE REALLY GOOD NOTES(this is key). If he goes too quick then either ask him or write down the topic and read the textbook (altho the textbook was obsolete; bcuz of the new tax law).

Scott ruthizer is a great professor and really knows his stuff. His tests prepare you for the final exam which is given by the department. On each exam he gives you opportunity to get 10 points extra credit, which is really helpful. Homework is optional, but I definitely recommend doing it. He cares about his students and wants everyone to do well.

Seems scary the first day but ends up being nice & funny (dry sense of humor). Gives homework but wont check if you actually did it. Gives a review before the test that narrows down exactly what you need to know. Attendance not mandatory after first 2 weeks. Extra credit for each test up to 10 points. The test Q's dont really have to do with class.

He is a good professor, but you have to work hard to pass this class. Accounting is VERY hard. I never struggled in school until I took this class so utilize him. He knows what he is doing. Also, try not to take evening classes with him if you can. He is kinda boring so you will hate going to class. Overall, I think he is a good professor.

Scott is a great guy. He has unique persoanlity which I enjoyed. He knows his stuff, he assigns homework but doesnt grade them. Its in your best interest to do them. Accounting is a hard subject and he knows it, and the homework's really do help you understand whats going on in class. 2 midterms and final 10 pt EC for each Reviews beforehand.

Great professor. Great class presence. Show up and participate and even if you do bad on your tests and don't do the extra credit he'll boost your grade. Really cares and I would take him again no questions asked. Must read the textbook to pass. Gives lots of hw but all can be found online.
