Do not take him. Hes the hardest professor. You will do 7 page essays on topics that arent even 7 page worthy. Even worse he grades hard. Just Avoid him!!

Harris is super knowledgable about literature. He's tough, but this is college, and that should be expected. He genuinely wants students to learn and grow a passion for English and Lit. He has tons of interesting stories about his travels and experiences. Come to class, take notes, ask questions, and you will do fine. I'll always take him again.

Dr. Harris is a bit tough, but it's because he has a genuine love of literature. I think he's there to weed out those that maybe aren't built to be English majors. The only real criticism I have is we had group projects. I don't like having to depend on other people for a grade, and we're not in high school anymore.

DO! NOT! TAKE! THIS! PROFESSOR! Taking this professor is like handing over your grade to the devil. I have never had a problem in getting excellent grades in an English class until I took this guy! His grading is ridiculous, and his snobbish nature doesn't make him any better. For the love of your GPA and your sanity, do not take this professor.

I've always loved English, you know poetry and actually reading books. I was always strong in English and he made me reconsider my whole major. He is very uptight. He lectures the whole entire time and doesn't really keep the class engaged.

I explained him I haven't taken English class since graduated from another college. When he assigned our first essay and it was due in a month. I started my essay early. I asked for help from English helpers and they didn't helped. I received help from my boss. He gave me a D. I made Bs on essays from my previous colleges. I dropped the class.

Literally the worst teacher I've ever had. Severely condescending and snobby. This is the ONLY class I've ever worked hard in and not gotten anything in return. Tests are impossible and grading is subjective. TERRIBLE TEACHER. AVOID HIM AT ALL COSTS.

For the love of your grades, do not take this professor. I was excited about the 115 - Poetry/drama and he sucked every ounce of fun out of it. He is confusing and argumentative. If you do not see things his way or raise questions you are WRONG. he asks for input and interrupts during commentary to finish your sentence for you. Grades hard.

Dr. Harris is a nice guy, but he is extremely unclear when it comes to explaining material and the expectations he has for the class. You basically sit in his class for an hour while he rambles on about things that are unrelated to the material being covered, so when it comes time for a test or written assignment, you are left completely unprepared

I dreaded this professor. If you dont share his ideas on anything then your WRONG! It does not matter how well you prove your point, if he does not like it, your grade will show it! He expects every1 (including lower level students) to have mastered the art of writing papers to perfection and tends to rip them apart if their not! AVOID IF POSSIBLE!

He's very knowledgeable, helpful, experienced, and open-minded, and I LOVED his class, but be aware he has little tolerance for people for whom English is a weak area. I wouldn't recommend him for lower level composition. He can be harsh and abrasive, especially to people with poor writing skills. If you write well and listen to him you'll be fine.

This was a very intense class to say the least, but I found it to be quite illuminating. Dr. Harris is very knowledgable in his field of British ENG. He grades papers with a fine tooth comb so make sure your grammar and diction are good. I would take him again.
