Comment:
Absolutely awful experience. Unbearable to attempt to listen to in lecture, and curriculum content of the course is completely pointless and does not relate to anything meaningful or relevant to real life. It's unbelievable that this is a required course. Turner has Aspergers and is miserable to listen to. All tests were online because he's lazy.

Comment:
Watch all the online videos and if you miss class, dear God, listen to it online. He's monotone and difficult to hear if you're not in the front. Good notes and a broad knowledge of traditional physics are both necessary. Concepts, diagrams, and specific examples are important to know for his tests. It's not that bad of a class, just unusual.

Comment:
Physics of Life is terrible. Turner will emphasize a topic heavily in lecture and ask one multiple choice question on it. In order to do well in the class you HAVE to watch the videos. His teaching in class isn't always cleat, but he is great in office hours. Nice guy, very smart, but POL will not help you in the fututre.

Changes what grades count and what grades don't in the middle of the semester. Does everything on-line, which is good because what is talked about in lecture is barely on tests and quizzes. Can't hear him in lecture at all. Don't waste your money, take regular physics at SU where you actually might learn something.

His classes can get boring, mostly cause he's got a low drning voice that tends to put you to sleep... But if you can keep awake his lectures are extremey interesting and he really knows what he's talking about!! Brilliant professor and amazing class :)

Brilliant man and the class is good to take because you learn a ton. Do the readings, they will help immensely. Unbelievably modest and soft-spoken. Will pass you as long as you show some effort.

Nice guy, class will give you a headache. Avoid it if you can, but if you need to take it take comfort in the massive curve at the end.
