Professor Fitzgerald is outstanding...took an on-line course with him and felt as if he was available to help me learn 24/7. He's caring and enthused about his subject matter, but be prepared for lots of work and a great feeling of satisfaction. 1st time I ever received an A in a science class and I earned it!

Took onlinecourse. It was very challenging, a lot of coursework, but he was extremely helpful. If you ask a lot of questions, you'll get an A. He walked me through my final project & was very helpful throughout the course. The Chapter Quizzes are a little dated, some ?s based on a prev. edition of the txt, but he lets you re-take if needed.

Material is interesting, but save yourself the time and don't take it if you don't need it.His lectures are clear, the NDCs are ridiculous, and the hmwk helps for the exams and NDCs but overall is pointless aswell. He's straightforward. Kaisha the TA is the bomb!

The natural disasters course material is pretty cool. His enthusiasm makes the lectures even more interesting. BUT if you don't need to take it then don't sing up for it: attendance is mandatory and the work is heavy, hideous, and simply not worth it. Speaks to the class as if he's superior. Poorly prepared for class. Terrible grading policy (about 60% of the grade was based on assignments/tests within the last week, and we had had many before then). There was a lot of work, which I don't mind, but there was barely any teaching on his part. Jen was awesome however, and she deserves an A+.

This professor loves assigning useless busy work... He also finds the need to make his instructions as difficult to understand as possible. However, the assignments are graded easily. If you are willing to put the work in, you will do fine.

The science aspect of the course is VERY VERY dumbed down, anyone can do this. Some tedious aspects, but everything is graded VERY easy. You dont have to know anything about science at all to get a B in this course.

Someone needs to tell this guy not to teach to students and to go become a lecturer for professionals. No one understands him and he is very condecending. Jen (the TA) rocks. She should teach the class on her own, because when you go to her with things he says, which make no sense, she teaches it to you in a way you can understand.

Class is really boring. Website was annoying. Jen the TA is awesome!!!. Do you NDCs ahead of time or you will really get screwed with loads of work by the end of semester. Even though it was an easy A, I wish I didn't take it.

Overall the class was somewhat difficult. Sean is an intelligent guy but very boring in class. They always put me to sleep. Jen on the other hand is absolutely awesome. If you ask for help, she will help you a lot...especially for the final, which is LONG!If you're willing to put in the work then you will not have a difficult time getting an A.

Not a bad teacher. Slightly intimidating when you try to talk to him one on one. The TAs were very helpful and wicked nice. Jen Bonin is the one to go to for help, the most personable and friendly. Work load isnt bad although HW/take home assignments are time consuming. Not wicked necessary to go to class everytime to get a good grade.

It was an interesting class. You can take notes in class, or if you missed some notes you can see it on the website. The work expected from us was a fair and decent amount. The teacher was also very helpful, nice and made the class humorous sometimes. One of the best teachers I've had. The website also provided plenty of helpful information.
