His very big on attendance, and will give lectures on how rude it is when you don't come to class. The class is at 8am and very boring. He talks through the whole class and the asks questions. Expects kids to read 30 pages a night. Tests are very difficult and no scale

worst professor i've ever had. this guy doesn't care abour his students...he seems to pride himself on making his lectures and lessons difficult for students to understand... makes his exams close to impossible, told class the first day that the average for his exams are very low. If you want to be miserable take one of his class's.

Methods sucks no matter who teaches it, but Varanos 15 page proposal was a ****. The other classes did group projects which seemed to be more interesting and easier grade wise. Varano himself was sort of a jerk and I wouldn't take another class of his by choice

I loved this class. I think he's an awesome teacher because he is very knowledgable about the subject area. There is a lot of reading in the class and the group project is kind of a hassle. Power point id very helpful. If you attend class and study hard then the class is fairly easy.
