When I was studying at Mcgill... many moons ago... he was one of the best and hottest professors of the Italian department. He was the only professor who supported and encouraged me while I was doing my Masters in Ital. lit. and to this day I am totally grateful to him! GRAZIE SERGIO!!!!

Feel free to take his classes if you want to hear all about how great italy is and how much Canada sucks in comparison. Also, he loves to spend half the class talking about his own great intellect, his facility with languages, and the mansion he grew up in. Garbled, egotistical and obnoxious.

Like his wife Balboni (whom, by the way, was his student before they got married), he is constantly making inappropriate comments to students. He is exceedingly pompous too- he once argued with a girl about the pronunciation of her OWN NAME.

An even more offensive version of his modern literature oriented counterpart, Eugenio Bolongaro. (At least Bolongaro is politically correct!) He is pompous, condescending, and, there is no other way to put it, rude. Thank heavens the man still has his looks.

Very passionate about what he does. His classes are always interesting. His stuningly vast intellect is a bit intimidating, but you can definately learn a lot from him. And he`s not too hard on the eyes either, which always helps...
