He is terrible. His lectures are all over the place and I have not learned any material from him. I read all of Vicki Old's lectures and try to teach myself this course. It's challenging because I want to do well but he does not like explaining himself again. There are many in my class who need help and he tells them to figure it out themselves.

This guy can barely speak a word of English, doesn't have a lesson plan, and is just a goof. He just writes random garbage on the board expecting you to know it. Have fun learning the course by yourself.

He's a funny guy, and for having an accent pretty easy to understand. However, there are definitely more effective and better math profs at Western. He's old school: sit with your pencil and he explains how math works. Fine at explaining, but only has one method: do it, and do it again. If you're not math minded, probably not the route for you.

He is absolutely atrocious, I cannot understand a word he says, his notes are not clear, he barely gives notes, everything about him teaching is horrible. WOULD NOT reccomend this prof.

Took 1229 with him. Kuzmin was a little intimidating at first but he turns out to be a very caring prof and puts lots of effort into helping us understand the material. He also goes through past midterms and exams together in class and explains the questions clearly. I think it's be easy to obtain high marks in this course if you go to the lectures

Took Linear Algebra 1600 with him. Best Prof I've ever had, unreal teaching methods, and marking scheme is the best I have ever had in all of university. 10/10

Dr. Kuzmin is a very bad prof, he does not give notes at all can barely understand anything he is saying and just writes random scribbles on the board. DO NOT TAKE HIM if you struggle with math, not sure how he was hired

If you can make it past the drop deadline with Dr. Kuzmin, you're in for a treat. Though intimidating at first, once you get to know him he is the most caring, student-invested professors that I have ever had in university. He is always accessible outside of class via email. The best thing you can do with him is ASK for help--he doesn't mind!

Really bad, talks about how much he doesn't like King's and doesn't really care about students unless they are doing well in his class. I ended up doing well in the class only because I taught myself everything from Vicki Old's notes. If you struggle in math, i wouldn't recommend him. Doesn't give notes in class

When I first walked into Dr. Kuzmin's class I was quite intimidated by him. That quickly faded as I found that he had a strong passion for mathmatics. In fact the only thing he seemed more passionate about then math were his students. If you have a question he is there for you by email or in person. Truly inspired me and made an impact on my future

Great professor! Always willing to stay after class to help make sure you understand. He holds additional review sessions right before the exam, even on snowdays when the school is officially closed. He really cares about his students. Definitely the BEST MATH TEACHER I've ever had. For Math 1229, if you pay attention and practice, you can get 90%+

Awesome teacher. When dealing with a larger class, you don't get the same amount of one on one attention. If you do the work and pay attention, you'll be fine. His accent is a little hard to understand, at first, but he teaches math. You should be able to follow along without needing to hear him speak English.

Very helpful. Great guy. Just attend class and ask questions or he'll have no sympathy for you when you fail his tests. Very easy to get 80+ otherwise.
