He's not the best lecturer but not the worst either. Prepare to learn some stuff on your own and work to earn your grade. Projects have a lot of code, and exams get harder and harder.

This class isn't really worth taking because you'd get a better education just looking up the topics on the syllabus online. Sesh is not good at explaining things.

Sesh is an extremely knowledgeable Professor. Most people don't go to class because he posts the slides online but if you're there to learn, I advise sitting for the 80mins. Class is project heavy - don't wait last minute to start them Tests are pretty hard as well Overall: average difficulty with maybe 10-12 hours of work a week? Would reccomend

Comment:
Sesh's lectures are good for understanding big O concepts, which I found that he went over more in depth than Centeno (the other lecturer for CS112 this semester). Although going to lecture is useful, what will ultimately help you is self-studying and doing the projects on time.

He is so terrible at explaining things in my eyes. Not only do his lectures usually make me more confused about concepts that I am familiar with but his exam questions and assignment descriptions are extremely difficult to understand. The content of the course is not actually that hard, but the way he explains everything makes it so confusing.

He is terrible; he doesn't explain things so students get points off for using methods he didn't clearly say not to do. Also, he assigned a project that was due the day before break and another due two days after break...

Professor Sesh isn't bad. Answers any questions you have during or after the class. Study through his lecture slides and recitation to get away with the exams.

Comes off a little condescending at first, but he's a great lecturer. The class itself is very rigorous and while lectures aren't mandatory, you have to go to them if you want to pass. Best advice would be to do the problem sets as you get them, and start the assignments early, cause they take a while even if you're confident in the material

Lectures include a lot of interesting asides about industry best practices and the history behind standard, useful (but boring) object-oriented programming concepts. Almost no guidance on the group projects -- don't take a heavy course load with this class becaus eit also involves a lot of self-learning and group partner negotiation.

Sesh is an amazing professor. He drills the concepts into your head by making you discover the topic as you learn it. I felt enlightened after every class. Sesh was also very funny and was so respected no one even thought about skipping his lectures. Clearly tells you what to expect on the exams and how to prepare for them. Definitely recommend.

Best teacher for data structures. Lectures are pretty good and if you pay attention and engage yourself you will get a lot from them. Has a tendency to be curt at times, but overall is very nice.

Prof. Venugopal is a solid professor for Software Methodology. His class is generally very applicable in the real world (speaking from experience), and he lectures well. Lecture slides are posted online, but I chose to attend lectures since they were helpful I would've done better if I'd taken the group projects more seriously. Great overall. :

Solid professor, 112 is a tough class but you can pull through if you have a passion for the material. Sesh gives you every opportunity to pass the class as long as you put in the effort.

This class is responsible for my internship. Sesh teaches you everything you need to know to pass most java interviews. He's a very fair grader but isn't too lenient for people who don't follow directions. Beware of the group projects. The exams are difficult but I expect a decent curve.

Sesh is absolutely amazing! He is hilarious, especially when some student in his class thinks they know more about the concepts he's teaching than he does. As long as you go to lecture and fully understand the previous lesson before moving on to the next one, you'll be fine. The course builds on top of its own material so keep up!
