I had English 11 with Seth fall semester of freshman year, and it was undoubtedly one of the best classes I've ever taken in my life. He is a professor who, despite an incredibly busy personal life, took the time to meet with every student at least once on every assignment. He really cares about your success. I can't recommend him enough.

Literature and Social Justice was my freshmen seminar and lets just say it was not my first choice... but Seth made it all worth it. Not only were classes interesting but he makes a genuine effort to connect with his students. He expects a lot of effort but it's not had work if you find the class interesting.

Seth was SO great. He is very democratic, class is discussion based but he expects you to do your reading. He makes us passionate about issues that we never had thought about before. Everyone in the class loved him. TAKE A CLASS WITH HIM!

His class was a roller coaster of Knowledge. He's very kind, and his method of teaching and criticism is very concerned with love. Inclusive to lots of political perspectives. Knows the art surrounding lit. and composition well; and, he teaches it with a passion.

If you have the opportunity to take a class with Seth, DO IT. He's hands the best English professor at Lehigh/that I've ever had. He's extremely passionate and it rubs off on you--he inspired me so much and the course changed my life, no doubt. You'll want to do the readings because they're interesting and because it's too hard to let Seth down!

American Realism. My second class with Prof. Moglen. Take it, take it, take it. Honestly, take whatever he's teaching. It'll change your life. A lot of reading, but he makes it fun, and you learn more than you realize at the time. Don't leave Lehigh without taking a class with him.

I wish I could take only classes with Seth. Best english professor at Lehigh. Do NOT graduate with out having taken a class with him. My point of view on life has changed dramatically for the better thanks to Seth. He is truly one of a kind when it comes to being a REAL teacher instead of those teachers that spoon feed their students.

Not bad, but completely overrated. More of a sociology class than English. Assignments are easy, but not relevant to anything important. He says "y'all" and curses sometimes, so people must think he's down-to-earth or something. If you need to take his class for the major, take it. Otherwise, skip this one.

If every prof was like Seth in some way, students would learn more & take an interest in education. He cares passionately for causes and education, and is much more of an intellect than most will ever guess. He pushes you, but fairly (i.e. allows you to rewrite papers), and allows the class to discuss and engage with one another. A must for all!
