Next semester will be my third class with her I have taken German 202 and 314 with her. Absolutely love her she is so helpful and understands that there are different levels of speaking German. She is a very fair grader and often times lets you do corrections. Take her if you can!

Taking Dr. Nenno's class has been a real joy. She is so considerate and caring about her students and goes the extra mile to make sure everyone understands the material. Definitely take her for German. The homework and tests aren't hard if you study and she lets you correct your essays.

Frau Nenno is one of the best professors I've ever had. I've never seen a professor go out of her way to help students the way she does. She makes me want to get better at German. She actually cares. I had quite a few unfortunate events happen this semester and she didn't shame me for getting behind, but gave me a chance. Definitely take her.

Comment:

One of the best professors I've ever had. I'm not that great at German, but she's gone way out of her way to make sure everyone has a chance at success. She's let us retake quizzes, asked for our input on classwork, dropped quiz grades, and always offers help. You can't say she's a bad professor, she's one of the best, and so very nice!

i felt like i didn't know what was going on, she didn't explain well and just assumed we knew. then when i was unclear with something i wasn't even sure how to ask questions. its like a presentation of German material. i went to her office hours and she still didn't help me.

Such a great class if you need a humanities. Class is discussion-based, so participation is a must, but Nenno does a phenomenal job of facilitating discussion. NO TESTS! Online quizzes (pick 7 of 13), three papers, and a final. Films are so-so, but I really feel like I learned something this semester. Dr. Nenno is always helpful and sweet.

I don't know how much longer Josh Shanes and Nenno are going to be teaching Hons West Civ, but if you can, TAKE SHANES & NENNO for discussion. They are the DREAM TEAM; they are entertaining, exciting, and work so well together. They make the class a pleasure to attend every time. Nancy is great. Thank goodness we have her here at CofC. She does more than just assign busy work. Class discussion is always great and she makes you think critically. The readings were pretty interesting and you can print them from e-reserves, which means... you don't buy a book! I really enjoy ALL of her classes and her teaching style.

Frau Nenno is so far the best German professor that I have taken at CofC. She is always helpful and wants the students to participate so we can all succeed in the language. Her classes are based off of worksheets that she makes, which if you do them, you will have an understanding of what is going on in class. Very nice, wants to see students pass!

Frau Nenno is an absolutely wonderful teacher. Is kind, helpful, and most caring about her students. Her classes and lessons are fun. The homework is easy and there is a nice review before the tests. I highly recommend taking her. Is very helpful if you need extra help outside of class. Will go out of her way to help you any way she can.
