Very conscientious and approachable about helping students improve their essays, especially in one-on-one correspondence. Can be quite encouraging. Don't think about missing a class and her definition of sass does cover quite a few things.

I'm an engineering major, so I didn't really put too much effort into this class so my papers weren't that great and my grade suffered, but the discussions were interesting and the essays always pertained to them and the readings; don't miss any classes, and she gave like 2 pop-quizzes on readings; very helpful on editing papers though
