(FYS CLASS) Shalom is by far the most caring and passionate man I've ever met. His class was fun and different. Class is almost always outside and you make art with nature, take walks and observe, field trips, movies, guest speakers, and there is a big paper at the end. He truly believes in what he teaches even though it's different.

Shalom's so easygoing! He really focuses on practicing meditation and going on color meditation walks/sound meditation walks. He's chill, and we listen to music by the Beatles sometimes before class. It's such a laid-back class. We did not use any textbooks, and we focused on mudras and using them in meditation.

Shalom is an awesome guy. If you are looking for a class that will take you step-by-step through programs, he's not the guy to take. If you need technical help, you have to be willing to ask him. He's not necessarily going to lecture about that stuff. But he's insightful, fun, and enthusiastic. His classes are always really fun.

I LOVE SHALOM!!! He is great. He is such a kind hearted, sweet, caring, understanding person, I really can't say enough good things about him, he's just amazing. I love Shalom. I really enjoyed his class and it may have been long, but it was very interesting. He's a very nice man. In this class we discuss, watch films, and write reaction papers to the films. Take it if you're interested in the biases people endure and their ways of coping through art.
