Comment:

I would not take another class with Dr. Britner again. Her lectures are very long and mostly pointless. Likes to interject a lot and disrupts class discussions far too often. Would not recommend taking a class with this professor if you can help it.

I think that Dr. Britner has good intentions. She expects a lot from her students, and takes her job as a professor very seriously. However, I will not take another class with her if I can help it. This class has been really stressful because she is not very clear with her directions and has very high and specific expectations.

Dr. Britner can come off pretty aggressive but she means well. She takes people opinions into account during discussion and won't hold back. If you make an effort in her class she will like you. She's very open and realistic about assignments and is really understand if something comes up and you need extensions.

If she likes you the class will be okay for you. She seemed to like me so I was fortunate. She can be very argumentative and clearly dislikes some students for no apparent reason. If you are a male beware. She will dislike you for being a boy no matter what. I can't see her being a teacher to children ever so it was hard to take her advice.

Easily one of the most unclear and unhelpful professors I have ever had. When she makes a mistake and gets called out on it, she gets argumentative and rude. Her instructions are unclear and she will take points off for criteria she comes up with after assignments are due. There is an assignment due for every class and most all of it is busy work.

A great teacher. SHe is very straightforward and can come off as rude but truly wants to help. She will make changed and adaptations for students and will take time to help you. She has taught me a lot and not just about science in the classroom.

Dr. Britner is a bit of a head case. She's created a very incongruent perception of herself as an equitable and clear pedagogical instructor of pedagogues, yet, I am going to get an A or B in her class with average effort. Males beware. Let the girls do all of the work if possible. She'll nag you to death if you move a muscle. Muscles, ugh.

She is confrontational and likes to put people on the spot, then makes them feel dumb when they don't give her the answer she wants. She marks you tardy if you're even seconds late but is regularly late herself and cancels class often. She is a poor example of how a teacher should treat students, yet she's an education professor!

This professor is the most ridiculous teacher I have ever had to sit and learn something from. She's completely bias and contradicting. She makes students feel really stupid when they give an answer and it wasn't correct. Plus, she assigns ALOT of homework and projects that are very pointless to the course. I would avoid this teacher at allcost

Britner is a difficult person to figure out. She likes things her way, so make sure you follow all of her directions to a T. As long as you look at the rubrics for the assignments, you will be fine. Ask her questions if you need to- she is really great about responding quickly. Overall, not a great "people person" but a decent professor.

Dr. Britner really cares about her students. You can ask as many questions as needed until you really understand it. The content learned is all beneficial and definitely worth listening to. I took the 7:30am class and even though it was so early, I still learned a lot from it.

She was a very good professor. She was very helpful when you asked questions. I emailed her all the time to ask her questions about assignments. If you put forth the effort, you should get a good grade in the class. Follow the rubric and ask questions to clarify. I learned a lot from her. I wasn't comfortable teaching science but now I am.

Dr. Britner has a lot of good ideas and examples for what she is instructing. There are times when I wasn't sure if I liked her or not, but it became very evident in the last half of the semester. I really like her and she is very willing to go that extra mile to help you when needed. I would definitely take another class with her.
