Oh boy where to begin. She is very vague on what she wants in her assignments and will ridicule you in your opinion does not match hers. She thinks she is a know it all about every single topic and she even throws her views on modern day politics into the mix. Be prepared to go into an exam and having it not match your study guide. Awful professor

Do not take this class. She grades incredibly hard and makes exams and pop quizzes consist of the most obscure content from the reading. She offers extra credit, but makes you do a lot for not many points at all. Id recommend another class if you are looking for a good grade.

Tests & quizzes were easy if you go to class & study, but the papers are ridiculous. Worth very few points, but a lot of your total grade, which made it difficult to do well if you missed her mark. Also participation credit was given unfairly - come to class every day, don't participate poor grade, come to class rarely & participate good grade

Mrs. Dale expects you to know every piece of art and everything about it on the test. You only learn it once it class and it is very hard to memorize . She knows her stuff but thinks it is easy for everyone to learn so much about art in so little time. Don't take art history unless you have to for your major.

Doesn't give constructive criticism well. The material is exciting to learn about, but there are so many factors that are pressured to be learned and the tests do not go into that deep of material. If you skip one class, good luck understanding the material by yourself. The papers were a bit of overkill. Different assignments would have been better

Prof. Dale is knowledgable about her subject. She gives pop quizzes and if you learn something from them her tests would be a breeze as her tests are straight forward and certain questions came from her quizzes. She gives a lot of EC, and if you are willing to put in the effort you can get an A in the class.

Do not take this class. Gave pop quizzes that were impossible to pass, even after reading the entire chapter. She is a tough grader, especially on her essays, where the average was between a 60%-70%. I would not recommend this professor for a good grade.

Don't take this class. She doesn't know how to use the grade book. I would have gotten an A if she didn't screw me over with the extra credit. Trees will die out because of how many PowerPoints she has you print. Tests are impossible and most fail her class. More than half of my class dropped it because it was that bad.

She is very knowledgeable, but her expectations were way too high. Halfway through she decided to do pop quizzes that were impossible. Many opportunities for extra credit, but you have to work for it. The exams were very specific and she was not clear on what to study for them. I would not recommend for easy gen ed credits.

Terrible Professor. I had to drop the class because out of nowhere she decided to have an exam EVERY SINGLE DAY based off the book that originally we did not need to buy. Shes so condescending and talks to everyone as if they are beneath her. Avoid her class at all costs.

Did not bother buying textbook, had no problems Pay attention to lectures, cringe through her zany behavior and rants against technology, deal with her middle school level micromanagement of your class organization (NO ELECTRONICS! PRINT EVERYTHING!), and you'll get through it.

Awful teacher. Grades the writing assignment way to hard. Test are extremely hard. She is very rude and thinks that she is better than everyone. Does not work with students very well. Her tests, PowerPoints, and gradebook was screwed up throughout he entire semester. DO NOT TAKE ANY CLASS WITH HER!

Tests are easy if you use her study guides and study PowerPoint. There were 2 writing assignment which she graded very tough. Says there will be quizzes on readings but we had only 2. The class was interesting in the beginning but lost internet when she started to talk about religion in art.

Dr. Dale is a great teacher. She cuts all unnecessary work and focuses on covering material. Her presentations are effective and she is very knowledgeable in the subject. Should be fine if you study.

It's hard but as long as you go to class and pay attention you will do fine. You have to take really good notes and study at least a week before exams. No homework, tests are really easy if you just study the power points and study questions she gives you! Very interesting class! I loved it!

AVOID THIS LADY! she is so rude i really cant believe penn state hired her! not only is she rude shes an awful teacher. completley off power points that are nothing but pictures. studying for her exams is extremley hard. she talks down to students all the time and refuses to help. also she dresses WAY inappropriate for her age. STAY AWAY!
