hes a nice guy, but fuc him as a prof. took him for public speaking. midterm and final are worth so much, and he obviously doesnt teach. im not good at speeches, but never got lower than a B. take him if youre okay with public speaking IG. but hes nothing special, grading is trash

Dr. Brown was a really cool guy. He is very focused on what he wants to get done and the improvements he wants to see in people and their public speaking. I was personally already a pretty good public speaker so i didn't learn all that much other than speech structure. Just make sure you put time into your speeches or you wont get a good grade.

I really loved Dr. Brown a lot. He gives really good feedback and his speech topics are always interesting. There was always adequate time to prepare for speeches and he grades very fairly. The finals and midterms aren't necessarily hard, but he doesn't lecture often so you have to take textbook notes. Great professor who knew everyones names.

I loved this class and Dr. Brown. Hes a great guy and very understanding. But, he is a hard grader and makes you work for a good grade but at the same time he pushes you to do your best work. I would take this class again in a heartbeat especially with Dr. Brown.

I took this class with Dr. Brown in the summer. The class had probably 12 people in it and Dr. B took the time to get to know everyone and help us each learn individually. Even though he challenged us in this class, he was considerate of the fact that we all had busy summer schedules. The activities we did made the 3 hr a day class go by so quickly

I really enjoyed the class. He makes everyone in the class socialize so when you are doing your speech you aren't as nervous. I pulled off an A- in the class. The midterm and final are more complicated then the 4 speeches.

I took him for a summer session. I am not a good public speaker, and frankly, I still am not! I bought the book which we didn't talk about much, But did he test on it! Best thing is be prepared! He docks points for vocal fillers. And if you say ummm, ahhh, you know...He will take MAJOR points off!

I took him for summer session and it all comes down to how much you can teach yourself. He tells exactly what you need for your speech, and if he doesn't see what he wants, he'll dock you points, even if you're a good speeker. Being prepared is KEY! For summer session, I know he hardly taught from the book... but TESTED on it! WATCH OUT

it all comes down to if you're a good public speaker or not. but i did well i got like an A-. he's really nice and the class is pretty interesting. make sure you read the text chapters for the midterm and final. he tells you exactly what to do for your speeches. i would recommend him and take him again

Dr. Brown is a really cool guy overall. He's a tough grader though. He has no problem answering questions or helping you out, but make sure you take REALLY GOOD notes becasue his tests are based on EVERYTHING he teaches each day. Overall, I give him a C+ - B-
