I had Prof. Erenburg for Microeconomic analysis, and one more (World Econ?). Although it was over 10 years ago, I am always grateful for her masterful explanations of the way the economic world functions. I said that her mind contained some grid of economics that could easily explain any aspect in relation to another. Hang in there-It gets easier!

Hands down worst teacher I have ever had. No one in the class seems to understand what she's saying, and she refuses to clarify things. She does not know how to phrase things in a way people without Econ PhD's will understand. She doesn't teach based off the book so it's impossible to study for exams if you missed someone in class

VERY difficult material. 10% extra credit on unit 1 and unit 2. She gives the 5 questions for the final (unit 3) a week in advance. Do the HW (a must) and study, you will get a B+ or better. I didn't do the HW on unit 1 and BOMBED the first test (<55%)....I ACED the 2nd and 3rd tests but that was from doing the HW and studying a lot the day of test

This professor is much easier than people give her credit for. I haven't taken an ECON class in 11 years and I aced her class. She gives you easy extra credit (hw) worth up to 10% on the first 2 exams and the final exam is a take-home. She doesn't trick you on exams, it's straight from your notes. Just study your notes and it's an easy A.

Terrible teacher. Very hard to understand, isnt very helpful, hates answering questions. I learned absolutely NOTHING. Half of my class dropped and if they didnt, they failed! Very nice...but not a good teacher. Good Luck!

Takes points off for trivial errors, even when you have already proven that you know the subject. Too much test-driven.

I took her for the Spring 09 semester and she was very fast. This was my first time taking economics and her notes were unorganized. And the tutoring hours were horrible. I would not suggest taking her if this is your first time taking economics.

I took her spring class in 2009.Her lecture is clear and accurate. Sometimes the class appears confusing and difficult, but it is because of the ECON itself not becasue of her bad teaching. Actually she makes every concept very clear. As non native speaker, I totally understand her. This class needs a little math.

Grade consists of 3 tests & some extra credit homework. Her notes/course are disorganized & do not flow well. The smile is deceiving. She teaches the same old Keynesian macroeconomic model that doesn't work. She says one thing one week then the next week she will say something to contradict what she just said - she Doesn't like to be proved wrong?

GO TO CLASS! TAKE NOTES! READ YOUR BOOK! Not an easy A, sleep through class. Attendance isn't req'd but attenfance sheet is passed around every class. She's extremely knowledgable on the subject, but goes fast and her notes are kind of all over the place. Grade based on 4 tests (last one comprehensive) and a few extra credit assgnmnts. HARD CLASS

One of the best Econ prof at EMU. A great Macro economist. Knows Keynes very well. Her 201,301,601 program is great. You will know Econ if you get through all 3. 301/601 are challenging. Notes and lectures are the most important by far, readings compliment not replace the lecture.
