Took this class online during the summer and there was so much work to be completed every week of class. There were a ton of quizzes which were super hard and although they were open book, the questions were so tricky that it was hard to get a decent grade even with the book. Overall, the class was very difficult and time consuming.

She is a good professor she is just oblivious. Half the time I don't even know what she is talking about. Good Philosophy class to take though, it was fun semester

She was an easy A. Class was always interesting. She can be strange in her teaching style but her quizzes were weekly, and easy, the essays were 1 page at max, and she the test was based off class posted questions. So for exams, you had all the answers before hand. What more can you want?

Dr. Kaye is very knowledgeable, but she is sporadic while teaching. I participated more than most people yet only got a 91/100 on my grade. You have to write 6 essays and they are graded decently hard. You have weekly quizzes on the chapter readings. You have to give a presentation on an assigned chapter. The midterm and final are easy though.

Dr. Kaye is very nice, but her lectures are so boring. She is definitely not one to give out an A no matter how hard you work for it. I expected to get an A but ended up with a B+. A lot of reading, but tests and exams are very easy. Overall, the class was interesting at times, but other times very boring.

Dr. Kaye is a very nice professor! She is funny, has strong points about her discussions, and is very knowledgable. The class I took was a hybrid class, so we only met once a week. You have to read a lot, (she said 3 times per chapter) and the online quizzes are super hard. It's open book but she makes it tricky and not clear cut.

She is kind of crazy but she's passionate about philosophy. Her tests are really difficult and there are only 3 of them including the final. Her lectures are scattered and confusing. They actually didn't help me learn the material for the exams since the material on the exams is based on the book. Expect weekly papers.

She really knows what she is talking about. Overall she is easygoing and lenient on due dates. Tests are hard and there is no study guide or any kind of direction on how to study for them. Essays are ok, she grades a bit hard but not too much.

Dr. Kaye is kind of nuts. She's all over the place and not clear on expectations whatsoever, technology confuses her, and she's a tough grader. You can skip class, just expect a lower participation grade. Very difficult to get an A, expect a B. Follow guidelines for papers on syllabus and re-read the chapters from her book before the midterms.

Class covers difficult, abstract material & her exams, essays, & grading reflects this! Nice lady, but it's very difficult to obtain an A. I am expecting a B, and I am a 4.0 student who put some effort into the class. Sad to say, but this is one of the easier 200 level philosophies. Take it if you can - learned a lot. Hard class, but you won't fail

weekly essays, weekly online quizzes, class doesn't meet on fridays as a result of online quiz (unlimited attempts haha) which is nice. Class is very boring and she is different to say the least. Not that hard of a class though other than the weekly one paged single spaced essays. Open book and note final/midterm from the online site

I took this class online. Not that much work, but you have to be detailed when writing assignments and posting things on blackboard. Her test were simple, and the quizzes were so so so hard. It levels out. Great summer online course, just good on all your other assignments and your grade will be fine.

Took PL101 on-line. don't recommend-Philosophy needs discussion. She is extremely picky in grading essays and an A on an essay is nearly impossible. She was helpful when questions arose

Awful teacher! Her points make no sense and she answers your questions by restating what you ask. We didn't do anything useful all year, and the only time she actually taught us was when she was correcting our already finished homework! DO NOT TAKE HER!!!!!!!!!

The worst class that semester! She never engaged the class and most of the time talked to the wall! The good thing was attendance wasnt counted. But the paper and test are ok if you go start early and ask her for help even for the littlest thing

Shes very easy. The 2 papers are related to the same topic so you already have an idea when writiting the second. The multiple choice on the tests are so easy. the essay parts arent that hard, you go over the same stuff all the time in almost every class. you watch some videos in clas to. Shes a pretty easy A or B and shes easy to talk to

HATED this class. 2 papers and 2 tests, 1 being the final. Her tests are easy if you study but her papers are impossible, I don't suggest taking her.
