I got a C in U.S. Military History. It was because I didn't read all of the material. What the others have said is true, there is a lot of reading in this class. Come to class, read the books, ask questions about what you don't understand and you should be ok. I received a lifelong love of military history from taking this class.

Worst class I ever took. Teacher should retire, total lack of organization, constantly confused, very unhelp full, brutal test, no reviews for test or study giud, lots of papers, mad reading. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!! OR DROP ASAP you WILL NOT PASS

She is an intelligent woman, however, boring as all hell. She rambles on in such a monotone voice that you can't help but fall asleep. I went to her office hours to talk to her. She was nice until she told me that I'm struggline in class because "I don't read well". What the hell is that?

MacDonald is very smart and knows what shes talking about. There is kind of a ridiculous amount of reading, but if you actually do it, you will get at least a B. I thought the class was very interesting and I learned ALOT. She's not as bad as everyone says.

So stinking easy that anyone could pass it. Lots of reading, but if it is spread out anyone can do it. Study guides make the readings pretty easy. Lecture is easy to handle, becuase if info is not on the board then it is not on the test. This class could not be more straight forward.

Hardest class I have ever taken, and I am a History major. Ruined my GPA. This lady is so stuck on quotes and exact detail that her tests are literally impossible. Good luck getting higher than a D in her classes.

This lady is horrible!! If you don't know the exact quotes from the books she has you read for the test, you get the whole question wrong. Very unhelpful, has no study guides, and does not tell you what she wants from you, hardest class I have ever taken.

This Vietnam War class was the hardest class I have ever taken. The tests are impossible if the answers are not EXACTLY what she wants. She has no outline of notes and expects you to read 3 novels in 2 months! STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know how you could fail this class unless you don't read at all. If you start reading at the begining of the semester and just read a chapter a week it is easy. Just read to fill in the study guides. All the tests are straight off the guides.

I am not a military historian...and never hoped to become one. Yet she made it easy. She gave study guides for the readings and, so long as you kept up on the details and took good notes, there was no reason not to ace the class.
