He does look exactly like Eisenstein. His classes are tough because there is a lot of reading and he looks for an almost extreme level of insight from it. The quizzes are hard because he's going to catch you guessing on at least 1 of the 3 Qs. You can get an A as long as you contribute to class discussion and attend. He will bump up huge for that

He looks like Albert Einstein. Why is no one else addressing this?! Funny, quirky man. Difficult, but intelligent. Socratic method is his weapon of choice. Reading is not always doable (especially if you have lots of other classes) but you definitely need to do it.

I have had three classes with Dr. Mirkin and I plan to have a fourth for my Poly Sci minor. American Gov. and Western Pol. Phil. were some of the best classes I have taken since I started college and I learned a lot from them. Also his class set up is good because he puts the class in a circle and lets the students participate. Good Law Prep too

Took this class 4 8 weeks it was horrible between his discriminatory comments,when asking a question he went into rants and never really answered, quizzes that are worth 3 points so if you got a 2 ur failin, one day 2 study for midterm/final study guides would have alot of questions (27) on Midterm and he only askd lik 7.Class wasnt what I expected

I really liked this guy. He is interesting. He had a lot of discussion which I liked. No one likes to sit and be lectured at for an hour. If you can take him. He has an interesting view on everything.

Harris is one of the all-time greats. When i was there, he was head of the Honors college as well as a Poli Sci prof, and always made time if you needed help. Not an easy A, but well worth the time to take his class.
