Comment:

Professor comes across aloof, disarrayed & disconnected during lectures. Lacked empathy & compassion during mentoring, avidly saying; "it's not my problem" & "I'm not your secretary" response to a student's request. Surprisingly for a "200" level INTRO class to CAM therapies this class was over inundated w/assignments & syllabus changes .

Comment:

Mrs. Tessier is a great instructor. Her class wasn't hard but it is imperative to do the homework and the assignments in order to get a good grade. If you do your part and study for the tests it is not hard to get a good grade.

Comment:

Be prepared to do A LOT of writing if you are taking CAM therapies online. I had to write over 50 pages of material just to meet the basic requirements. While the subject material is interesting, the work-load is a bit excessive.

Comment:

The material was interesting but the lesson plan on the syllabus changed each week, it was frustrating. I was going to drop the course but decided to stay, a lot of students dropped the course after a few classes, because of the confusion of what she wanted. It was her first time teaching the course and it was obvious!

I took the course online. She takes a while to answer email and can be spacey at times. I had to remind her to grade a few items. The course is easy enough. A chapter quiz each week and a topic report or questions. There is a mid-term and final. The biggest downfall is taking forever to answer emails.

She is nice enough but really spacey...her class can be really boring because she relies on student input and participation and the whole class can turn into random discussion. When she does lecture it's all power point, everything you can read in the book. The youtube videos are cool but for a great, exciting class, she's not the one.

I loved her Aromatherapy class. Even though its not a subject I would typically be interested in, I found the class to be very informational and useful, and the enthusiasm that the teacher put towards the class was amazing. Its not hard and its very fun. I definitly reccomend this teacher!!!

This professor is amazing!! She truly cares about her students and grades like a college professor should. Just do your work and stop complaining. She is well versed in what she teaches and offers great feedback. Definitely one of my all-time faves! I purposely sought out classes she taught

For a 2000 level course, Sharon made this course very busy. It felt very much like a 4000 level course.The midterm and final were difficult. The course had a mandatory field trip. This course was not enjoyable.

she encourages students to think critically and if you are not thinking critically, she'll tell you. She's honest,fun and yes, gives work and expects it to be done in an academic style.She's one of the better teachers I have encountered and wish more profs could be like her. She cares about her students whole heartedly.take her classes. she's great

Took the online freshman level class which she seemed to think was an upper level class due to the excessive papers and exceedingly critical grading practises. No matter how well I thought I wrote a paper, she graded it soo hard and never gave me a good grade. I couldn't please her in any way with my answers to the review questions from the text.
