One of the best professors I've had. She's a lovely, sweet, caring woman who gave us all books from her own library at the end of the semester based on what she thought we would like. A lot of the assignments are personal and the hardest part is keeping up with the readings, it's a good amount of books. Definitely attend lectures.

LOVED HER. She's a very sweet lady who cares for her students. Unfortunately, she has retired and will no longer be teaching. There is one midterm and final, 2 museum assignments (LACMA, GETTY), a couple assignments, and you get to read the hunger games. My favorite class during that semester.

Great professor! She gives a very manageable amount of work and grades very fairly. Extremely nice person and provides interesting material. I've learned so much in this class! If you can, take this class! She's fantastic and has a real passion for the subject, which made me much more interested in the subject.

Such an easy teacher. Was more interesting the beginning of the semester because we read the Hunger Games but shes awful boring now and really likes to talk about her life. She's really weird but decently easy.

I do not suggest you take this class just because it is easy (which it is) because she goes very off topic and many times I found myself taking the class for no apparent reason. It was easy for me to not be interested in the class because of how often she goes off topic and she has made inappropriate comments towards students at times.

She's very hippy-like...but she seems rude at times. She really loves the subject, but she spent more time on The Hunger Games than teaching the actual subject. The class is very easy, but requires that you go to museums and an on-campus concert of some sort. Easy class, but if you really want to learn, take someone else.

She was very sweet at first but towards the end of the semester she seemed very annoyed and rude. I found a few of her comments to students very inappropriate. The class was easy and I did great on everything but somehow I got a B+ in her class and not an A. Attendance is a must, not that hard of a class just do your work.

I took her hum 101 and 105, both was amazing... she was one of the nicest person and humble. I did great on 105 class but got a lower grade in 101 just simply, i laid back.. anyways, she's great and take her. only thing from her is that you have to go/visit museums and etc, which can cost your own money and gas. just to tell ya

Made adolescent lit. painful. No reading list for three weeks, then stacked novels without discussing them. Snapped at students frequently, shared private medical problems, complained about her other classes and how she was going to cath them cheating. No experience in the subject and simply wasted time with personal response writing. Avoid.

One of the kindest people I have ever met. Her class makes you gain a new appreciation for life. Be honest and do the assignments. She gives study guides, so if you look everything up and memorize it you have a guarenteed A. She's a great person and a great teacher. Two thumbs up.

Respect her and the class and you will have a fun time. I highly recommend this class. It sometimes can be boring, but it also can be exciting. The only downside is the projects - they are fun, but you can easily burn like $50 on the out-of-class projects. Most importantly, it is easy to get a B or an A if you try.

if you become her favorite in the class, you will have a definite A, even if ur attendance is minimal. if she develops a dislikeness towards you, you're screwed. she's 2 emotional, talks about Vietnam ALL the time, starts randomly crying instead of teaching, i learned NOTHING from her class, even the sentimental crap seemed corny and unnecesary.

Do not take her for child lit, not the right person to teach it. I feel like I got nothing out of her class. For the first few weeks, she will spend the entire period reading you children's books and towards the end of the semester she will cram ALL of the assignments so you feel overwhelmed. She brought too much of her personal problems to class.
