I liked Shauna a lot, however she is a tough grader. Sometimes she is unclear but usually it is pretty good. Make sure you do the BlackBoard assignments she won't remind you, you just have to remember to do them, it is a big part of your grade. If you are respectful, and attend she will help you as much as she can.

I adore Shauna. She is an incredibly effective ASL teacher. I am so glad I took her classes this year. There are writing assignments every week, which can get a little old, but they're usually right out of the reading.

Love this teacher to pieces! She's funny and entertaining despite the fact she's deaf. It's easy to understand what she is miming and will sign things over and over again so you can understand. I ended up taking the whole ASL series because of her!

She's so cool and funny! Yes, she is deaf, but it doesn't mean she'll confuse you. If you don't understand what's she's signing, just raise your hand and she's happy to repeat it. She'll repeat again and give examples if you don't understand. :)

If you have to take a foreign language for your degree, take ASL from Shauna Ward! One of my best teachers at Edmonds PERIOD. FYI she is deaf, but if that puts you off, reconsider because even if you have zero experience in ASL (like I did) you will find her very easy to understand. Easy 4.0, but you will learn a lot at the same time.
