He sent us a syllabus weeks before class started and even though this was a may term class, he "taught" it as if it were just a regular semester. we had HUGE amounts of reading every day due, a quiz and discussion post Monday through Friday, and multiple essays throughout the term. he did not, under ANY circumstances accept late work.

Ohare is brilliant, witty, and to the point- theres no gimmicks or guessing around about grades, what you put into the class is what you will receive. Excellent choice in class material

O'Hare is the hardest professor i've ever had. He is beyond sarcastic and definitely a tough grader. If you are going to take anything with O'Hare, DON'T! find another professor for the class - you'll seriously be better off!

Dr. O'Hare is the best. I had him for 201 and refuse to take 301 until I can take it with him. He expects the reading to be done, but if you do them then the quizzes are a piece of cake. I loved his lecture on Paradise Lose. His obsession with Ireland is distracting, but overall he is good.

I had to learn to write papers a different way than I was used to writing to. He grades pretty hard, but you just have to learn what he expects & be REALLY creative. It helps if you show he your putting forth the effort. Quizes are pretty easy if you read. Didn't like him at 1st because he gave me a C on my 1st paper but ended up with an A overall

He has a relaxed personality but can lose his temper if the class gets too comfortable. His quizzes can be frustrating but if you pay attention to the reading they are fine. The tests are easy and he usually picks good readings.

O'Hare is an interesting "lad." He's definately not the typical CN prof, but I think that may be a good thing. He has no problem with cursing in class, but I really don't find it offensive at all (and I normally would). He's fair and straightforward about the assignments. Overall, I would recommend him for 301.

He sort'a scared me, but he's really smart (hmm, maybe that's why) and loves Irish literature. He's like that "cool" teacher, but somewhat intimidating, and wears colorful Hawaiian shirts (or maybe THAT is why)!!!
