Dr. Tucker is a true gem. Please try to take at least one class with this man during your time at Elon. He's so hilarious, passionate about what he's teaching, and has so much respect for his students. Also, his projects are so much fun, so it won't feel like you are doing the amount of work that you are. What's up with that?

This is the best class I have taken so far at Elon. Dr. Tucker is THE BEST. The class is easy, the discussions are so interesting, he is HILARIOUS, the projects are so interesting, and you learn a lot of things that you can actually use in your life. If I could take it again, I would. My only note is he is very liberal, which bothered some.

Dr. Tucker is a 10/10 man and professor. His class is hard and there are tons of assignments and tests, but honestly he made it all ok. Definitely make friends in the class tho or else it will be tough to get through.

Look, it's not an easy A, but Dr. Tucker will teach you about life. Funny dude. One of Elon's best professors. He likes mormon jokes. If you can't understand sarcasm, you might get lost, but it makes most feel right at home. This class is so worth the work!

Dr. Tucker is absolutely amazing. For global we watched ted talks and wrote responses to them almost every night. A couple group projects that were a lot of work.

This is the best teacher I've taken while here at Elon. Although the amount of work was very heavy, as I took it over J-term, the material was always entertaining and Professor Tucker knows how to make students laugh. If you are looking to take an easy j-term class but don't want to do a lot of work, this is not the class for you.

Best teacher I have had so far at Elon. He truly knows how to balance lecture with his given assignments. I took the class this January term, and got an A with putting in the homework assignments and a little studying on tests.

I took this class during J-Term and it's a lot of work but totally worth it! The class was 3 hours but went by quickly. It was by far one of the best classes I have every taken and no matter how horrible my day was going, Dr. Tucker always managed to make me laugh. I would recommend taking this class during a typical semester b/c its a lot of work

Dr. Tucker's class was very challenging, it even says it in the syllabus so you know it's true, but it is my favorite class. He is a great person and it shows that he cares about his students. Even though there is a lot of work, it is all interesting. The topics we studied include South Park, Modern Family, and a lot of movies. He rocks

Shawn Tucker is a Fantastic Professor! Took his Laughter Class over WT. Never felt like three hours because his lectures are fun and engaging. Teases himself and people in the class, all in good fun. Very clear in his guidelines. A ton of work, however he works with you. Wish I could take him Again!

He taught my Laughter and the Fine Arts class for Winter Term, so it was more work than I was used to. However, he is easily the funniest professor I've had at Elon. It's nice to have a funny professor for a class about humor. Without his guidance, I don't think I would have understood a good portion of the material.

Dr. Tucker is a wonderful teacher. He really loves laughter and the humanities and it shows in his teaching. However, he gives lots of homework each class and tests are difficult. Take this class if you are willing to do the work because it is definitely worth it. I am absolutely not a English/humanities person and I loved the class

Laughter in the fine arts is not an easy class but it is taught very well and is easily manageable. He gives you the prompt for the test essays beforehand so its easy to do well on them. Do the assignments and you will be fine. He is also a really funny and down to earth Professor that really enjoys teaching this class.
